My daughter Danielle Mazur was in your hospital recently and was in so much pain she called me crying from her bed where nobody would help her. Her gallbladder was so inflamed even the surgeon was shocked yet she was told she couldnt have pain meds for two days while they waited for her to have a test which she ended up not getting anyway. They have terrible intradepartmental communication which causes patients to suffer and stay longer than necessary they withheld pain medication without first confirming that there was definite cause to do so she was sent home without the nurse evaluating her or going over discharge instructions. Then to add insult to injury they billed everything as outpatient so insurance wont cover it as an emergency. It was a definite emergency which was confirmed by the surgeon. How anybody with a conscience could treat a patient as Danielle was treated is beyond my scope of understanding.
I highly recommend that you STAY AWAY from this hospital. I was admitted with severe gallbladder pain and needed surgery. The communication between departments is AWFUL. I went 2 mornings in EXCRUCIATING pain without being given pain meds in preparation for a Hida scan only to be told both mornings that a scan couldnt even be done that day.My 3rd day in the hospital after having surgery my nurse Lindsey couldnt be bothered to visit me ONCE. it got to be 2pm and she never introduced herself asked how I was doing checked my incisions or offered pain meds. I only met her when she discharged me at which point she didnt go over ANY discharge instructions and basically sent me off blind.UPDATEDEFINITELY STAY AWAY FROM HERE I AM BEING CHARGED $15K NOW BECAUSE OF THE WAY THE HOSPITAL BILLED EVERYTHING EVEN THOUGH I HAVE INSURANCE THIS IS RIDICULOUS AND IVE NEVER BEEN SO FRUSTRATED IN MY ENTIRE LIFE
I have chosen Memorial in the past and have always had a positive experience until my visit to the e.r. on 102321. I went to the e.r. after consulting with Infectious Disease Associates re to the swelling and warmth of my r knee. I was admitted treated with antibiotics and pain meds. I was seen By Dr. Garlick who did not feel that I should have been admitted. I felt like I was being scolded by Dr. Garlick who did NOTHING other than refer me to the surgeon who replaced my knee over a year ago. It was very clear to me that Dr. Garlick did not want to say that there was an issue with my knee or comment on another surgeons work.Thank you.
My wife had a parathyroidectomy here and I must say that the experience was wonderful. The doctors nurses and staff were professional and compassionate. Every step was fully explained. I would recommed this hospital to everyone.
Treatment was very professional and expeditious by the competent staff.
I was so pleasantly surprised with my overnight stay. I had my own room and it was very clean and spacious. I have nothing but good things to say about this hospital and the staff.
Nurse Kimberly was very thorough detailed and extremely personable. Shes an asset to the Hospital

Everyone was very friendly and made having surgery as easy on me as possible.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
