Dr. Baldonado performed a rather complicated lung surgery on me to free a "trapped" lung which had become infected and collapsed. She did a fantastic job and I could not be more satisfied with her performance. She gets my highest rating.

Not only is my husband able to leave the hospital earlier than we expected due to the skill as a surgeon but we feel at ease as she is a very effective communicator. We absolutely understand what is going on and what we need to do. She doesn’t act rushed. While I honestly hope never to see her again after he is released from her care we would recommend her in a heartbeat.

She is truly an amazing person, and a very caring soul. She actually called my wife today because she knew she was upset yesterday.

I was diagnosed with salivary cancer back in 2021 at the age of 73 and was operated on at another hospital other than Moffitt Cancer Institute. However 12 months later a follow-up PET scan discovered that a nodal was found in my left lung area, which may be the result of the cancer migrating down into the chest area. I decided that my best option was to go to the Moffitt Clinic in Tampa and schedule an appointment in the Thoracic Department, whereupon I met Dr. Jobelle Baldonado, MD . She read the scan and its initial analysis and made both my wife and I feel confident in her professional skill and experience along with her staff. She explained the procedure she would use to remove and biopsy the nodal , which gave me assurance that I was in "good hands." I am a very nervous patient but knowing I had a skilled surgeon was a great uplift to my mental state. Dr. Barlonaldo is fantastic , but knowing that I have further medical issues facing me to recovery, she has provided me with the catalyst and confidence to beat this cancer.

I would give her 10 stars if it was available. She is a thoracic surgeon at Moffitt who was assigned my cancer case after I had checked in as a new patient. My PET scan was showing a cancerous tumor in my right middle lobe of my lungs, and that is her specialty - surgically removing these cancers with Da Vinci Robotic equipment. One of the doctors who works under her told me that in his opinion she was the best if Florida. She removed my middle lobe of my right lung with Da Vinci Robotic equipment, and at the age of 83, everything went perfect with no complications. I was only kept in the hospital for two days, and now one month later, I do not miss my middle lobe and my incentive spirometer is showing that my lung capacity has increased over 25%. She handled my case from biopsy to surgery and then to home, and at all times I felt I was in the best of hands. I would recommend her highly to anyone with the same problem.
