Best doctor Took care of my father and father in law catarats with fast recovery And now taking care of me and my daughter as we are glaucoma suspects.

I visited the elderly Nice gentleman. Did an eye exam. Ordered 7 pais of glasses to which non i could see. Went in a 2nd time. He had forgot to give me the reading test yet a 2nd time. I said doc. I cant see my computer at work. The first pair i cant see out of. He says lets do the reading test. 6 pair glasses returned. Went to (another eye glass shop- THEY worked with me an found out my prescription is yet still not Right!) This has been going on for over a year now. He os to old. Doesnt remember ANYTHING. Its like hes being scripted out side the office. He gets half way into the exam an just doesnt Remeber. Tells me he needs to wright the numbers down before he forgets. He says his wife is always telling him that. Hes very nice. But I've wasted time. Money an my job was at stake because of this. He needs to retire. Sorry. But it's the truth. Billed my insurance. Received money But not services i thought i received

The front office staff is snobbish and uncaring...my car overheated my moms on oxygen they didnt want to allow her in so she can plug ger oxygen into an outlet her appt is for 12...they let it be known to her the office opens at 12 as shes bent over trying to breathe...i think I'd be finding new personel! Im pretty sure this will be the last time we use this doctor...my mom loves the doc himself but is never happy with how the staff treats her and at 72 she shouldnt feel this way she hasn't done anything to deserve that treatment.

My 85yr old had her Cataract Surgery performed by Dr Altenburg. She thought his sugerical methods were somewhat old fashioned and this proved true when she had her other Cateract Surgery by Dr Larenzen. His Methods were much more modern. Needless he messed up her Surgery and has very limited vision in the eye he performed the surgery on. At follow up he blamed every including she may had a stroke during the procedure. She went to St Lukes for observation and there was nothing they could do for her. Her recent done at Tampa Eye Clinic Surgical was a complete success. Should have come here for the first surgery. Was told by several people in the eye sugurical world that Dr Altenburg needs to hang it up. He’s getting too old
