If I could give zero I would. The least professional doctor I’ve ever encountered. My mother entered the ER at Tampa General with weakness. She was diagnosed with internal bleeding… she had to be taken off blood thinners in order to get an endoscope and colonoscopy. The endo was done on Monday with the Colonoscopy expected later same day. They then rescheduled. Delgado told my mom that if she stayed till Wednesday she’d be seen. Her hemoglobin was under 8 and being raised with transfusions. With no explanation the doctor said he couldn’t fit the procedure in and discharged my mom knowing she was at a stroke risk due to being off the thinners. Disgusting malpractice…. I hope his mother is treated the same way.
The wait before seeing a doctor is ridiculous. I've actually been in the office for four hours or more. Nothing was really done for my illness except for being admitted to a hospital. Would not go here again.
Worst experience ever. I never thought about leaving a bad review over a Dr’s office but if I only were able go back in time would like to see the reviews and would never book an appointment with them. Long story short, all what people describe about how bad is it to communicate with the office, to get treatment, to get medicine sent to the pharmacy… took them 4 months (after a endoscopy )to send my prescription to the pharmacy and of course they called me to get the copay of treatment and I had to threaten I won’t pay until get my prescription and a miracle happened. So don’t ever think about this office
Avoid this place because I got no help here and they billed insurance for a PA to sit 6 minutes in the room with me and she said she would order EDG and blood work but I got no paper work to do so and cannot get answers from the office. The staff only care about going to lunch or going home. Worst GI facility in TAMPA!
This is the worst run practice I have ever seen. My first appointment was 11 months ago. At that appointment I was told by the PA that my last colonoscopy would be reviewed by the doctor. I waited for over 3 months to get anything back from the practice. I was told they needed clearance from my Pulmonologist for my Asthma. That was sent to them with in a week. I called and was told the doctor would have to review information and send it to the anesthesiologist. I waited for over a month and never received a phone call from the practice. I called back and it took over 3 more weeks before I was able to speak to someone in the office. Only to be told they lost the information from my pulmonologist. I had that information sent again to the office. After several weeks I was told they had the information and would forward everything again. I am at about 9 months from my initial appointment and still no colonoscopy. I called again for about two weeks until someone ever answered my phone call. I was told they were sorry, but there was only one person in the office and she was overwhelmed. I asked if they had heard anything from the anesthesiologist. I was told they had not received information from pulmonologist again. I told the person on the phone, please check again it has been sent to your office twice. The last time it was sent, you confirmed you received it. After 10 minutes on the phone she found it and had not been sent to the anesthesiologist. I asked to speak to the office manager. I told Josephine my impression of the practice was not a good one and I had nothing good to say. Josephine apologized and said it was her second day working for the practice and I was not the only patient that was not happy. Josephine promised to look into my treatment needs and get back to me. She did get back to me and within 2 weeks had an appointment for my procedure…only to find out the evening before that the office did not have confirmation from my insurance company… 11 months have passed since my initial visit. Worst practice I have ever been referred to.
You never get to see the doctor. You only see the certified PA who doesn’t know much of anything. Wait times are ridiculous. I would not recommend anybody go to him.
In addition to being told I "just have an acidic stomach" with no possible explanation as to why I now randomly have terrible acid reflux, my doctor tried to reassure me that it would be fine by saying that she has been taking Omeprazole for 25 years. She noted there was some irritation that my endoscopy revealed, but other than putting me on meds there was no other instruction and answers. Given that I'm not overweight, do not smoke, am under the age of 40, eat healthy, etc. I'm still puzzled.I've had a phone call in with my doctor for over 3 weeks now and to this day I've never heard back from her. When I called to ask when I might hear back from her, the receptionist who answered the phone said "no idea". Her exact words. I've felt completely dismissed by this doctor's office and have been offered zero answers at all. Needless to say, I booked an appointment with a new recommended GI doc and have my first appointment in January. Don't even bother!
Terrible. Like many of the other comments. Unreliable, do not care about your time. Do not care about follow up. Prompts on voice mail talk about customer service, but do not expect any. Cannot say enough negative things about this operation.
Terrible front desk staff very inefficient. I spent two hours trying to contact the office. When I did, I waited two months for my apt and was told Dr. Delgado has rented the office out to his PA’s. I was not able to see the doctor and was told he is never here. The best that was offered was to wait longer for another apt with Dr. Delgado giving me a 90% chance that I would still not be seen by him. I wish I knew this in advance before taking time off work and WAITING months in discomfort hoping to see the person I had agreed to see to no avail. *my time was wasted under discomfort and stress and nothing was done to make it right.
My insurance found this place for me, so I didn’t think to read reviews because there weren’t a lot of options on my list. The PA was very nice, and the staff very friendly. However I left in tears. I waited over a month for answers this office is very booked. She told me I had a condition unrelated to what I came in for, then rushed me to go onto something else. Now I have more questions than answers. Now I have two things i have questions about and to be concerned about instead of one. I was upset so the nurse did call her back and she asked if I had more questions but she had already ended my appointment and ruined my chain of thought that was already distracted by the unforeseen extra news. It’s like my mind went blank to just listen to the metal clanking of the prisoner in the room directly behind me’s hand cuffs after I made eye contact with him staring forward through the open door watching then talk to me it was over for me. It felt like I was in a bad dream at that point. They talked me into a colonoscopy but I feel after reading the comments here I need to cancel. I couldn’t handle the prisoner let alone if I wake up in a dirty room with nurses smoking like another person. I’ll have to admit to my GP I made a mistake and ask them if it’s not too late to see the GI they recommended regardless of the drive time.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
