Dr. Jorge Marcet treated my wife, Thea, for over a year in a new clinical trial 14 years ago after she was initially diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer, downgraded to Stage 3 after further testing. We are both RN's and because of Dr. Marcet and his team, Thea returned to work and has now retired! Our daughter is graduating this semester from USF and pursuing a career in medicine. I have recently, and finally authored a book featuring his surgical skill, the coordination with the many others involved in Thea's survival. 14 years have passed and we are forever grateful for his caring and expertise!

Aside from the fact that my internist asked Dr Marcet to come see my colonoscopy WHILE, I was still under, and he came over to see the camera immediately - Dr Marcet is remarkably devoted to this science and expediting something when he sees the seriousness. I can't say enough good things about him. His bedside manner - SUPERB - his communication - SUPERB - his willingness to listen - SUPERB - and his operating skills - again, SUPERB. You are in more than good hands if you are lucky enough to have him as your surgeon.

I have a BCIR pouch and he IS THE ONLY SPECIALIST in my area that is familiar with my pouch. He refuses to see/treat me because I don’t have cancer even though I have a medical situation that requires surgical intervention I am forced to FLY out of state for care and surgery. I just don’t understand why he limits his skill set and won’t help a patient in need. What happened to the medical oath he took to help patients in need of care. For those of you that don’t know what a BCIR IS (BARNETT CONTINENT INTESTINAL RESERVOIR). It’s used in place of an illeostomy so you do not wear a bag over your stoma. It’s all internal. I have this type of pouch because I am allergic to adhesives.

My experience was a nightmare. He is rude and I was misled about my surgery. I'd have a mechanic treat me before I'd let him near me.

Dr marcet Dr Bennett Dr reintgen thank you for your outstanding abilities and treatment had stage 4 rectal cancer doing fine my son has melanoma always respect this team there is no better in the us and most likely the world they are the best of the best ,(TOP GUN).....Dale DeSear

Dr. Marcet was my doctor back in 2015, April in fact. I was diagnosed with colon cancer and he was so very caring and spoke to my husband and I like we were family vs patient doctor. I truly recommend him and his staff this is a compassionate and caring man Truly a blessing sent from God
