Lama Pediatric Therapy's Online Review Report Card

Wonderful and welcoming staff!

When our son was diagnosed with autism, we searched tirelessly for the best care available. We toured countless centers, tried multiple places for speech and occupational therapy, and focused heavily on functional therapies. Coordinating all his services while working full-time jobs and preparing for the arrival of another child was overwhelming. More often than not, we spent more time trying to get our son comfortable enough to participate than he did actually receiving care. It was anxiety-provoking for everyone involved. Then we found Lama and it truly felt like our prayers had been answered. From the start, Colleen made us feel like we weren’t facing this mountain alone. She worked with us. With some hesitation, we decided to give ABA a chance and we are forever grateful that we did. We had preconceived notions about ABA, but thankfully, we chose to see it for ourselves. It has been life-changing, not just for our son, but for our entire family. It helped us understand him better and learn how to support him in meaningful ways. John’s BCBA, Emilee, and the team of RBTs (Aine, Demi, Aaliyah, Serena, and Eryeka) have nurtured him in ways we could never have imagined. Our goals for John were safety awareness, self-advocacy, and independence and they have exceeded every hope and prayer we had. We drop John off with total peace of mind, knowing he is surrounded by friends and caregivers who support him with kindness and empower him with the tools he needs to grow. What sets Lama apart is their coordinated, all-in-one approach. John receives ABA, ST, and OT under one roof, with all his providers working together as a team throughout the day. You can tell everyone who works here loves what they do. His speech therapists, Alexia and Payton, are phenomenal. They send home daily updates, and thanks to their interventions, John’s communication has improved dramatically. His occupational therapist, Marissa, is equally amazing, her thoughtful strategies have made a real impact on his independence, and she too sends regular updates so we’re always in the loop. Every month, we meet with our BCBA to review progress, set new goals, and address any concerns. We also receive daily notes that highlight both wins and areas for growth. Emilee makes us feel safe asking any question, nothing is “odd” or off-limits. I never feel like I need to apologize for my son’s behavior here. Not only do they understand him, they anticipate his needs with compassion and skill. Having all of his care in one place has made a world of difference. It’s allowed John to get comfortable and truly benefit from therapy. Lama is clean, organized, and safe and best of all, it gives us the gift of time. We drop him off knowing he’s getting the best possible care, and when the day is done, we get to just enjoy being with him. If you’re where I was a year ago: scared, unsure of where to go, but fiercely determined to advocate for your child please give Lama a tour. It might just be the turning point your family needs.

Our daughter has been with Lama for years now, and we have always had nothing but a great experience. We have had various ABA providers, and they have all been wonderful to work with. They offer in home and school assistance, which has been so important for us. The staff is also easy to communicate and schedule with. I highly recommend Lama!

We are extremely happy with the ABA, SLP and OT services provided at Lama. Our son has made remarkable progress over the past 6 months due to the dedicated and loving staff. They provide direct feedback after each session. For families with busy schedules they are flexible with scheduling and work with you. Our son loves to attend and has developed a close bond with his RBT, Ms. Aine. We look forward to his ongoing progress!

I can’t believe it’s been 10 months since my little guy started to go at Lama. He’s grown so much in every aspect… socially, emotionally, academically, his fine motor skills and self care, his speech... If you want to know what’s different about Lama from other ABA clinics is passion and commitment. Everyone is so committed and they truly have a heart for it. A lot of ABA centers don’t pay their RBTs fairly and therefore they have so much staff turnover. Some of the RBTs in Lama are even on their own journey to become BCBAs. You can tell they value what they do. I just wanted to shout out to some people that have been absolutely amazing caring for my son: Amy Purcell (BCBA and rockstar clinic coordinator), Brianna Rychcik (OT), Alexia (Speech), Emilee (BCBA), Ms Nicole (RBT), Mr Scott (RBT), Ms Paige (RBT) and Ms Leticia (RBT). But honestly whoever you get at Lama I’m sure they are going to be great. They are very serious about who they hire. It’s a privilege to have Colleen as a clinic owner who is both a BCBA and a SLP. ( I was shocked to know that many clinics and franchises are run by people outside of the clinical and behavioral health field and most of these are profit driven). My son’s developmental pediatrician is very happy with his progress so far. He’s becoming such a confident little guy. Lama staff have been so patient and accommodating with all our concerns. They are always available to discuss and provide orientation and hands on parent training. I have learned so much as a parent. I’m a better mom since I met this lovely team. I can’t thank Lama enough! (Also Tessa and Michele the administrative assistants truly shine through what they do)

Lama Pediatric Therapy was amazing for our then 5 year old son. He say Bri, an Occupational Therapist, and we cannot say enough great things about her. All of the staff there are kind and patient with every kid that walks through the door.

The moment my son had an evaluation all the therapists have been so nice. His therapist Payton is sweet, understanding and clear with directions for at home directions to help with his speech. He loves going to see her.

Lama Pediatric Therapy has been an amazing resource of learning and development for our child. I am grateful for Shaquana, Morgan and the entire staff. They are caring, communicative and always supportive. Strongly recommend!

Lama pediatric has impacted our lives for the better. I suspected my child had a speech impairment and got him tested. He did in fact had a speech delay at 3yrs old and got him some therapy. After just a year of speech therapy, he was able to talk and speak his emotions verse act it out on to others. He is now 7 and still has some sounds we are working on but what a transformation after just a yr in lama therapy. We would do two days a week then transition to one day after completion of his year evaluation. Highly recommend these ladies. Thanks 🙏 for helping my little boy. Now he can’t stop sharing his thoughts and feelings. 🥰

Lama Pediatric Therapy has been such a wonderful place for our son Sam. He has made such growth in all aspects of his development. He recieves ABA, Speech, and OT at Lama. Colleen and her team are amazing and care deeply about their clients.
