List of Marc Bloom's Reviews
Dr Bloom performed a quadruple bypass on me almost two years ago. My experience with him was very positive. He is super confident about his abilities (as he should be) and that was reassuring. My cardiologist told me that Dr Bloom is the best thoracic surgeon in Florida.
Dr. Bloom did surgery on my husband to replace the aortic valve and do two coronary bypasses. Not only is he an excellent surgeon, but he is also very caring human being. he has a wonderful bedside manner, and we always felt reassured by his expertise. and many times he left us laughing. He is just a great guy and also a great surgeon.
Recently had triple bypass. I’m above ground because of Dr. Bloom’s surgery. We’ll done. Fine care. I’m in cardiac rehab now. Thank you Dr. Bloom.
Dr. Marc Bloom, Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeon at Advent Health, 3000 E Fletcher Ave., Tampa, Florida, KILLED my father during the repair of an aneurism of the ascending aorta. He was neglectful and inattentive to the pre-surgery process. I observed how Dr. Marc Bloom did not order the necessary exams to check on my father's carotid arteries, that intrigued me because of the importance of clean carotids for a successful heart surgery and as I called it to his attention he proceeded to order the necessary exams. The results of this exams were never discussed with my father and I, instead they were provided to us by the receptionist. As I called to inquire on the results of the CT of the carotid arteries a week prior to the surgery, the receptionist said Dr. Marc Bloom was out of the office, but all looked good with the carotid arteries and the surgery was to proceed as schedule; Sure enough, it was not good, my father needed to have his carotid arteries cleaned up prior to th
I cannot thank Dr. Bloom (and his support staff, of course) for my successful bypass surgery back in May 2019. I noticed that I was short of breath one day & reported that to my primary cardiologist, Dr. Arlene Lobo. She immediately sent me for a CCTA which showed a very serious LAD blockage. Hoping first that a stent would solve my problem, I was dismayed to learn that it was finally my time for bypass surgery. [I had a heart attack back in Jan. '97.] Dr. Lobo suggested Dr. Bloom and I am SO glad she did. He is a terrific cardiac surgeon--one doesn't become Chief of Cardiac Surgery by being any less! And, he has a bedside manner to match! I am so grateful that he was there when I needed him. Today, I am healed and feeling wonderful...again, thanks to his mastery and Advent's cardiac rehabilitation program. If you need bypass, he's your man!
Excellent. Straight forward, no BS.
Great Doctor
I met Dr. Bloom for the first time today, and the first thing he said to me was that I didn't need him. Having been told by a previous doctor that I had 50% to 80% blockage of my carotid arteries, I was happy to hear that. Dr. Bloom took the time to make an analogy between my arteries and PVC piping in plumbing. Basically, my plumbing is in pretty good shape! He also went over the ultrasound and CT scans of my arteries. I was very impressed with Dr. Bloom. I wish all doctors were as thorough.
Dr. Bloom is simply the best doctor ever! He is straightforward, describes things in detail and instills confidence. We love him!
Excellent all the way around. Takes his time to explain your situation in laymen's terms and the available options. Very thorough and personable which is much appreciated and uncommon in many specialist type surgeons.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
