Stay clear of this Doctor! Does not do a thorough job in surgery to make sure patient is sedated and feeling no pain.

Stay clear of this so called Doctor! This guy has no sense of commitment to his patients. He doesn't care if you are in pain during procedure. He will just continue on as if you don't even exist. He won't apologize in person, he will get the nurse to take care of his dirty work. This Doctor put me through the most pain I have ever endured and never blinked an eye. Karma is the only justice I can look forward to with this Doctor.

Dr. Alkire and the team at Tampa General Hospital performed 5 cardiac bypasses and an aortic aneurysm repair on me in 2015. He is a very caring physician and an excellent surgeon. He followed my recovery thoroughly visiting nearly every day. He communicates well with his patients and medical staff and is well respected by the many other healthcare professionals who participated in my surgery and rehabilitation. He truly is a lifesaver.

Dr Alkire is a wonderful person as well as surgeon. If it wasn’t for him my life would be totally different. He found my lung cancer????????????

Dr. Alkire performed a aeurysm surgery on me in 2016. Grafts were placed in my right (contained aeurysm) and left iliacs. I complained in a follow up that I could no longer run. He ignored me. I wrote to him from my summer home and he had an assistant call me and tell me to see a general practitioner or see him when I returned. Years later it was determined that my right iliac graft was occluded.

Best surgeon ever. Has a great sense of humor and good with patients.

So my experience started off good at the first office. They called me with updates and to schedule appointments. Now that Dr. Alkire is in a new office, it is difficult and almost impossible to get anything done. I had to redo my whole new patient appointments because it's a new office. I was at the point where I was ready to schedule my operation, I had a consult paper from the tests they did and everything. I was aggravated but let it slide. Now it's been two weeks since those "new" appointments and I've called and called with no response and nobody returns my calls. For anyone looking to have an easy breezy experience with a vascular doctor, do not choose this office. So unfortunate for the doctor who is going to lose business because his office staff can't pick up a phone.

unfortunate for those who have had a mishap but i believe that Dr Alkire was a God sent in my case and I would recommend him to anyone. thank you Dr Alkire and staff

Not a great ‘bedside’ manner.But very honest.

He is the worst surgeon I have ever had the displeasure to meet! My husband had surgery for a trapped lung. He came out of surgery with his kidneys shut down! Three other patients who had surgery that day with him, also had the same problem. My husband's kidney function was normal prior to surgery and he spent 21 days in the hospital. I'd rather see a Vet than this guy.
