List of Mary Stedman's Reviews
I saw Dr Stedman through MDLive in 2021 and 2022. In 2021 we had one 30-45 minute session, I talked and she diagnosed me with like 5 different things and asked me which I wanted to tackle first. It did feel weird I was diagnosed with NO MUCH on only one session but I was trusting. I went on Abilify and was on it for roughly 9-10 months. Throughout the time I saw her I think monthly to bi-monthly and I said I felt fine and was happy but personally I felt like the happiness was coming from just being healthier and going to the gym and I was told a few times it took time for the meds to kick in. Well I realized about 6 months in I was gaining a fair amount of weight and when I brought it up to her she said that was not normal….Which is odd considering that every website I looked at said Abilify definitely causes weight gain. Finally at the 9-10 month mark I told her I wanted to stop and asked her how. She said i was on small enough dose that I could just stop cold turkey. Did that and felt awful so I just kept cutting them in half and then finally stopped and that was much better. I continued to gain weight even while going to the gym and taking good care of myself months after the medication. It’s taking me so long to get this weight off. I wish I would have been listened to a bit better when I was concerned about the weight gain and I also wish she wouldn’t have diagnosed me with so much on the first appointment. THEY WERE ALL MISDIAGNOSED. I feel like a good doctor should know you can’t diagnose so much in one small session.
It breaks my heart to write this, because I used to hold Stedman Clinical Trials in high regard. But what happened to Austin, someone my entire family came to love and respect, was beyond disappointing—it was cruel and discriminatory. Austin showed up every day with compassion, intelligence, and integrity. He treated everyone with dignity, no matter their background. That’s why it was so shocking to watch him be mistreated and pushed out—because of who he is. What he faced wasn’t subtle, and it wasn’t isolated. It was real, and it was harmful. Even more disturbing is seeing people close to the company, like “Jesse,” posting fake reviews trying to rewrite what happened. It’s painful to watch people try to erase someone’s truth just to protect an image. My family still talks about how much they admired Austin. He made an impact, not just professionally, but personally. He deserved better, and so do future employees. Stedman Clinical Trials needs to take a serious look at its culture—and the kind of voices it’s choosing to elevate or silence.
I've been a patient of Dr. Stedman's and her team for a number of years. She and Dr. Vangelena are extremely attentive and utilize a number of different methods to assist others, especially those experiencing CPTSD symptoms. Genuinely can't say enough about this practice!
Started as a new patient a few months ago when going through a big life transition and have been seeing Dr Vangelena since. Really like their style and the healing opportunities available! Would recommend to anyone in the area looking to work on their mental health to take advantage of the expertise available here
Dr. Stedman and her staff are very kind and welcoming. I recently had some really hard things happen over a span of three months. Dr. Stedman and Dr. Vangelena were there for me. Not once have they judged me but rather they supported me. The first visit I had with Dr Vangelena, I knew I had found a genuine soul. Dr Vangelena has helped me to believe in myself and embrace my inner child. Each time I have a session, I walk away with new insight and healing within. If you’re looking for a Psychologist who sees you as an individual instead of just a number, look no further. I highly recommend Dr Stedman Clinical Trials.
Dr. Steadman and her associate Dr. Vangelena are incredible people. They are so kind and welcoming. Every visit feels like going to see a friend rather than a doctor. In only a month of being under their care I feel like I have made so many breakthroughs, more so than years of working with therapists and psychologists before. Dr. Steadmans office opened my eyes and gave me a new perspective on life. Every day I wake up excited for something. Even the receptionist is such a welcoming and wonderful person. The whole office is full of people who are kind and genuinely fun to talk to.
I have been thinking about making this review for a couple years now. I first went here struggling with depression in 2019 after much trial and error with medication. Dr. Stedman really pushed me to do TMS. I was hopeless, so i did it. However today, 3 years later, i have horrible memory loss and anxiety that is way worse than what it was. In the end, the TMS did help my depression. But i dont think i was properly informed on the side effects. I remember her doing a series of memory tests that she would do again after my TMS to check, but she never did. Looking back, I think i shouldnt have been rushed into TMS. After the TMS, the appts i had where i was expecting Dr. Stedman was with a different practitioner and i had to explain my case over again every time. I just got frustrated and stopped going. I also dont appreciate Dr. Stedman trying to get me to try her fad diets she was doing while i was struggling with an eating disorder, i'll never forget that.
She is a great Dr. I have no plans of changing. She has many options to offer to help. She listens and is very caring.
Everything was great at the intake. My ptsd, mdd, and anxiety was recognized, I took a genesight test and felt heard and on the way to actual recovery…until every appointment turned into an intake. Repeatedly being told appointment after appointment my anger from repressed ptsd therapy must be “the bipolar” because it runs in the family despite my lack of criteria. After directly asking where my manias were, and after shared contact with my therapist I was still met with the same response like Groundhog Day. If you have insurance she loves to book you weekly so she can continue to see you yet treat you as if she has no memory of prior appointments. After nearly a year of being her patient and her repeatedly invalidating my anxiety, her office failing to fill in my script on time twice, and jumping to a conclusion that because I’m 3mg short after 30 days I must have taken all 3mg at once and abusing my meds (as I was asked by her on the phone), I received a letter in the mail a week before my script runs out stating I was being dropped as her patient with recommendations for drug rehabilitation centers. Stedman dropped me, a patient with two anxiety disorders and ptsd a week before my script was due to be refilled, and viewed my anxiety and anger as irrational and bipolar. In my opinion, if you want someone to enforce the unhealthy life robbing mentality that the world is solely a greedy, selfish, gaslighting, emotionally unpredictable place, then this is the office for you. If you’d prefer to grow from your ptsd, the most Mary Stedman is going to do is throw vitamins and a 300 dollar genesight test at you.
Put me on 8 medications and was using me as an experiment of hers. She then hospitalized me to get me off all the meds. Now I'm on 1 medication and see another physician. She should be reported to the medical board for malpractice. Beware!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
