MIchael A Scannon's Online Review Report Card

I am writing this for Fl West Coast skin cancer. I have a basal cell on my L side of nose, and started my actual radiation treatment this week. The staff is very kind and considerate. Victor and Thalia at the front desk area are very polite and helpful. Sam has done three treatments on my nose this week. I have a lot of confidence and respect for his care. My dermatologist in Palm Harbor referred me to a different facility, but they only treat what I have with a MOHS PROCEDURE. I just retired from 40 yrs as a CRNA. I RESEARCHED on Google for alternatives to MOHS. I was beyond happy to find an alternative treatment. I also plan on staying with this group for skin checks, or anything I need that is skin related. I would recommend this procedure to anyone who has basal cells, especially on your face. No one told me about this procedure. I found it by researching alternatives to MOHS. I have never had to wait in lobby for more than a few minutes. They all treat me as a person... not a number. They are the best organized doctors office I have been to. I had my biopsy done August 18th , I’ve left several voicemails and even reached out to the office manager Cyndy who responded via text message that my results were not in . Then I waited a week later and called once again, no response so was forced to leave Michelle yet another voicemail which she did call me back that time saying the PA was out on vacation and was approving the biopsy results and she would call me back …. STILL NO RESPONSE and its Sept.20th ! A little over a month later and no one has called to give me my results . It’s concerning and quite unprofessional. The day of the appointment, the PA was right on time and I was in and out quickly. She was really nice and took her time to listen to my concerns. But they definitely need to work on a better protocol to relay the patients their results. I even did the patient portal and NOT even on their have my results been uploaded. Very dismissive and barely made eye contact. When he prompted “anything else?”he didn’t even wait for a response from me and just ushered me out. Maybe the least human interaction I’ve had in a while. 2/5 stars for the speed of the visit I guess..

The doctor seems very thorough & no wait time

Dr.Scannon is always kind, professional, and the best I could ask for.

It was very gracious of Dr Scannon to see me on short notice at the Dade City clinic. I appreciate the call from the office to correct my misinterpretation of the prescription, too. Everyone us very professional and efficient at the office.

Always conscientious and caring, Dr. Scannon has been a pleasure. Even after moving to Bradenton, I choose to drive to his Hillsborough County office to continue his excellent care.
