List of St. Luke's Cataract And Laser Institute Tampa's Reviews
Go anywhere else for your care! Money hungry physicians who have no compassion for the care they swore an oath to. Been a patient for years and because I'm currently between insurance companies, mind you my new insurance will be active in 2 weeks, they won't even push out the appointment! Absolutely disgusting to have robots working a health care system. I would have had active insurance before the new appointment but they refused to even schedule it. What a joke
Amazing bedside manners by Dr. Jeffrey Wipfli at St. Lukes. I had to go through 5 different staff members checking different aspects of my eyes and vision before the doctor could see me and all of them were pleasant and inviting. Thank you all!
Muy buen lugar y muy profesionales, todos en general. Me operé de catarata ambos ojos. Y estoy super bien, y el tiempo de recuperación me dejó sorprendido.
The quality of care is exceptional. The staff is very professional and friendly. All treatment is explained in detail. I am very happy with my treatment plan.
Just walked in saying I got bleach in my eye. I was told to leave to go to emergency care because it'll be hours before somebody could Just help me because there is only one provider. So now I left barely able to see driving and having to pull over every once in awhile to go to an urgent care. Could have at least offered to help me flush it or something. Zero compassion. Also somebody that reads this is wondering I have full insurance and would have pay cash for any help.
I have taken my mother here for over a year. Wait times have gotten worse, two to three hours sometimes. Dr. Ponce used to come in and at least spend a few minutes talking to us. he used to show me my mother's scans and update me on her progress. Now, he rushes in do to injection and I have to push to get a minute of his time.
I absolutely do not mind coming here for my eye issues. As soon as you walk in the front desk greets you and very welcoming. The people that work with Dr Ponce are top notch. I always feel so comfortable and they all seem like they like/love their job. They genuinely have a caring spirit. They have made this time with my eyes a pleasant one. I can't say "thank you" enough.
Recently, I went to the Tampa location for Dr. Scherer to perform a YAG procedure (often needed a couple of years post cataract surgery. My experience was PAINLESS and efficient. My vision post procedure was 100 times better than it was prior to the procedure. Today, I went to my Optometrist (not affiliated with St. Luke's) and she said it was the absolute best result she had ever seen from a YAG procedure. All of my interactions with the employees of the Tampa location have been wonderful. I would recommend that anyone considering cataract surgery or other eye procedures should make the first stop here.
Quack, they're all quacks in my opinion. Vision was better before getting any of the many procedures they performed on the eye and lots of money later. From the assistants to the doctors, no one wants to take responsibility. Everytime i leave there my spirits are down.
From start to finish, my experience with cataract surgery at St. Luke's has been great! Everyone there seems to love what they do, the process is so seamless and streamlined without any sense of rush or pressure. I have been treated as if I were their only patient at every visit. If you HAVE to get cataracts done, do yourself a huge favor and check them out!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
