Horrible and Prejudice treatment. I had a consultation and was excited to get help, I was told a scheduler would contact me within a month. That was back in Oct 22’ . I called months later to be told the doctor who was supposed to do my surgery “Retired” and that someone would call me back to get scheduled once a new DR was assigned. They NEVER called back or gave any updates because they do not care nor feel obligated to assist people of color. I even asked for a manager several times and that was denied as well. Horrible.

I have had an excellent experience! From the very beginning they prepare you for the lifestyle changes that come with surgery. I had Gastric bypass done by Dr. Docimo. I am 2 months out, no complications and already feel so much healthier! Highly recommend!

Dr. Docimo and staff have changed my life. They are professional, caring, kind and responsive. They have walked me through the Gastric sleeve process so that I was informed and knowledgeable the entire time. I'm so thankful to all of them. I'm 3 weeks post-op and so happy that I went with TGH. I would recommend Dr. Docimo without hesitation.

Dr. Docimo is amazing. The care I received at TGH Bariatric has been the best. Literally everything I expected was provided. The care team is top notch. I am so blessed with the opportunity that I have been given to live a healthy life thanks to Dr. Dosimo and the entire team.

I started my Gastric Bypass journey in 06/2022 My surgeon was Dr Docimo, him and his team are awesome! Dr Acho, Erica and Corina are also very cool! Very informative, they listen to your concerns & answer all your questions yes they truly are there to help every step of the way. This is not an easy decision or process but if you set your mind to it and stay focused you can do it! I had my surgery in Jan 2023 and even if you need to talk to a doctor or nurse once you go home they have on call physicians you can call if you have any questions or issues 24 hrs. I am feeling so good and confident, I couldn’t have done it without TGH+USF Bariatric Center. From the beginning they’ve made me feel at ease when I was doubtful. I had the most wonderful experience with this group! No need to look any further this team is the best of the best!

Absolutely love this center and staff everyone was very helpful and encouraging. Dr.Docimo was amazing and made me feel very comfortable the day of my surgery. Thank you to everyone!!!

I have been desperately trying to schedule a surgical consult for two whole months. Every time I try and contact the email address, I am referred to call the office. I work during normal business hours, and cannot get to the phone when they call me. By the time I am off work, the department is closed. I was able to try and call one day when I was sick, and I sat on hold for over 20 minutes to be told that no one could help me, and I needed to call back. Every single time I send an email, I get a "call the office" and nothing comes of it. For a hospital that prides itself on being "the #1 in the nation" for various things they are absolutely last place for accessibility and accommodation. It should not be this hard to get an appointment.

I had Gastric sleeve surgery on Jan. 23 with Dr. Docimo and his team. He and his team have been absolutely amazing! They listened to all my concerns and I didn't have a single question that didn't get answers. They really explained the entire process and made me feel at ease. I would highly recommend this team, I can't say there is any place better than Tampa General's Bariatric center.
