Theron Ebel's Online Review Report Card

DR Ebel is one of the best doctors I've even met. He was focused on my complaints, knowledgable and thorough. After many years with sleep disorders Dr Ebel solved my problem, he is the only one who addressed my issues properly.

I worked as a RN for 35 years, and can quickly recognize excellent doctors. Dr. Ebel is definitely a very knowledgeable and caring doctor.

Dr Ebel is probably the most thorough doctor I've ever met. I've had sleep apnea for more than 20years and had two prior consultations with other doctors, and never had any positive results. Dr. Ebel, has a wonderful personality, and spent almost an hour attentively going over my history. After a second appointment a sleep study was scheduled. As a result Dr. Ebel determined I needed a Bi-Pap, rather than a C-Pap machine. 20+ years of sleeping misery resolved in a month by having the good fortune to find a Doctor who is the ultimate sleuth and determined to discover the source of my issue. Dr. Ebel is an incredible pulmonologist. With his 'old school' professional behavior coupled with modern technology, he's a rare delight in the ocean of common medicine.

I would certainly recommend Dr. Ebel to friends and family. He has been my pulmonary doctor for a long time. I have sleep apnea, and use a CPAP machine. Dr. Ebel takes his time discussing the results of my data download from my CPAP machine, I know via feedback that my use and settings on my machine are correct. Easy to talk to, and I will continue to visit him, as he continues to provide excellent care for my issue.

After seeing two other pulmonologists for my sleep apnea, without any improvement, it was wonderful to meet Dr Ebel. He is a REAL doctor and conducted a more thorough history than I've ever experienced. I look forward to working with him on my problem. FOLLOW UP: Problem seems to have been solved!!! After my sleep study and follow up consultation with Dr. Ebel I was prescribed a Bi-Pap breathing machine. In the past 15 years, by two pulmonologists, I was prescribed C-pap machines, which works for most. Dr. Ebel was able to determine my type of sleep apnea was not obstructive apnea. The correct diagnosis led to the correct remedy. For the first time in 20 years I'm having NORMAL sleeping, what a treat! Thank you, Dr Ebel.

My pulmonology visit with Dr. Ebel was my first experience with Florida Medical Clinic and it was nothing short of amazing. Scheduling and Check-In were simple and easy. Dr. Ebel spent a generous amount of time with my during my visit, explained his medical background and knowledge, and listened to my symptoms and showed genuine concern. He didn’t dismiss my symptoms as nonsense based on my age (in my 20s). He carefully looks at your current medications and came up with a fantastic plan of action to continue my pulmonology care. I would recommend him to anyone in need of an experienced, compassionate pulmonologist.

In 1980, Dr. Ebel misdiagnosed my pulmonary artery stenosis as congenital. In 1990, he had the opportunity to rectify the diagnosis but ignored another doctor’s recommendation and my own questions during an office visit. Had it not been for an emergency trip to the hospital for heart failure and another doctor’s testing in the hospital, I would never have learned of my carotid arteries stenosiis. My left carotid, left pulmonary, left subclavian and left renal arteries were all stenosed. My right carotid artery was 60% stenosed. I received medication which reversed the right artery stenosis. Without the emergency er trip and another doctor’s test orders, I would have eventually had a stroke. Dr. Ebel dismissed my questions and another doctor.s recommendation for his own arrogance, and with fleeting concern for my medical welfare.

Dr rebel is a great doctor.

Dr. Ebel is a very caring and thorough physician. He has taken care of both myself and my husband and I have known him for years, but never as a patient until recently. I am so glad to have him as my doctor now since Dr. Bernal retired.
