List of Thiru Arasu's Reviews
Best GI doctor in the area. Trust what he says he is very knowledgeable!
Reading some of these reviews I would not judge the doctor by certain individuals in his office staff. Dr. Arasu is a GREAT doctor! He saved our daughters life with his immediate diagnosis and treatment. She would not be here if not for him. I have six children (now grown) and three have seen him for various reasons throughout the years, NEVER once have we had a bad visit with him or his PA/NP. Certain office staff could improve, but I don't believe his office staff is specifically selected by the doctor any longer. Many medical offices are now staffed with employees from a corporate blanket like BayCare, St. Joe's or other large healthcare companies. Regardless of isolated incidents with staff, I will still go to him with our grandchildren when needed for his expertise. He is also one of the nicest and most caring doctors we have been too. Known him for 20 years!
Worst staff and always over an hour wait. Go somewhere else.
Called to schedule an appointment here. I was originally scheduled at the Odessa office but found out my daughters’ insurance was not accepted there and was provided this office’s number to schedule. I tried to explain the above to the staff member on the phone and she continued to cut me off and was extremely rude and argumentative. I was extremely stressed out and simply was trying to schedule an appointment for my sick 9 week old daughter. She ended up telling me I was rude and she was going to get me to someone else. I’ve honestly in my almost 30 years of life never experienced such bad treatment from a doctor’s offices front staff. She literally left me so frustrated I was in tears. As a result, I ended up canceling my appointment and am giving my business to a doctor’s office that treated me with a lot more respect when trying to schedule an appointment. These staff members are often the first impression you get of an office and I do not want to take my daughter somewhere where I am going to be treated with disrespect.
Dr Arasu was the only Dr to figure out what was wrong with my son. After countless visits to other doctors. Wait time for appointments can be long. Overall, I would recommend him. He is a great Dr .
AWFUL experience!!! My daughter did not go to her college class to see the doctor and after waiting over an hour we went to ask how much longer for to see the doctor and the secreatary, office manager AND DOCTOR told us that they were fitting her in. Sorry. My appmt was at 12:40 and at 1:40 I had over 6 patients in front of me, so they will see me if someone will not show up. Nothing like that was ever disclosed. Their attitude was a total “I don’t care, too bad”. They definitely do NOT CARE about their patients.
Years ago our son was a failure to thrive baby and had problems eating . He could have been retarded if we didn't get his help due to inability to get proper nutrition and absorbtion. Dr. Arasu did a very thorough work up. Dr. Arasu gave us the best advice and all the tools and help we needed. Our son is now 15 very healthy and thriving . He is a hero in our book!

Getting ahold of the office is impossible. To make an appointment i had to start calling 10 minutes before they opened to ensure my call would the be the first that went through. I left NUMEROUS messages, and never received any phone calls back. The woman who was taking appointments was rude and talking to other people while talking to me, then got an attitude when i had to repeat myself when she wasn't listening. The waiting area is very small and cramped, so waiting is unpleasant. I tried to look past that and prayed the doctors were decent. They were, mostly. They were attentive to listen to my daughters history, and because of her history i was told to do a stool sample and send it in. I was told i would receive word if anything popped up. Sent samples in Friday, started getting phone calls from the county and state departments of epidemiology Tuesday and Wednesday saying they received word her results. When i called the office again no one answered, so i went physically into their office to make an appt for Thurs, and when i asked if inwas ever going to get a call from them and was treated like a maniac and was told they were "just too busy to check results that came in on weekends. So they didn't, you should have called and left a message." When i informed them that the office staff seems incapable of answering the phone and returning messages, they again told me "we're just busy"... Yet they always have slots open. So the office is too busy to answer phones, too busy to return phone calls, and too busy to do their jobs of checking lab results.
Office staff are nice and professional! PA/NP took their time to hear my concerns and recited info to the doctor when he came in. Dr was very nice and resourceful, very satisfied with my visit. In the afternoon the wait time is a little longer but overall Great practice.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
