Waiting time was short, everyone was professional and very friendly, all of the assistance and the doctor were thorough and very proficient. Scheduling was very helpful in getting my appointments to suit my needs.

Although there were several patients being tested at the same time in the same small room, the staff performed well in handling everyone in an efficient manner. From that time on, things went efficiently. The staff were all very knowledgeable and took time to answer all my questions. Since I was there for my initial consultation concerning cataract surgery, I was pleased at the number of tests designed to obtain exactly the information pertaining to my situation. Dr. Newsom was very courteous and professional with me. He took the time to answer my questions and thoroughly enjoyed explained cataract surgery and the various lens options (some not inexpensive!). All in all, I am very confident in having Dr. Newsom perform my cataract surgery.

Dr Newsom charged me $10,000 for LAL but day before surgery changed to mono-focal standard lens. Now he won’t refund any money. It’s been three months.

I made an appointment with Dr Newsome as he had so very much knowledge, education and experience with cataracts. I had an advanced cataract in one eye and a cataract that didn’t bother me in the other. We discussed repairing both eyes: I wanted to wait on one eye’s cataract replacement (to keep my good eye’s nearsightedness), he said that would be fine. After surgery, he reassured me it went well. It’s more than a year later and I am still amazed I can do without glasses after 50 years of wearing them. He and his staff were all very amenable to Providing Information and Answering Questions and proceeding as I wished

had cataract surgery in Oct 2016, scheduled for followup visit Jan 2017 and was called by personnel to tell me that they NO LONGER accept my insurance 2 days before my appointment , that I now have to pay out of pocket for this office visit..and I am having an issue with my cataract replacement lens and need surgery to fix it but they suggest I contact another doctor that does take my insurance. Lousy way to do business, they should have informed me they dropped my insurance plan

Dr. Newsom wanted to do surgery on baby cataracts. I went to another doctor who said he would never do surgery so soon. I never went to the pre-op surgery appointment but they called me the day before the surgery was scheduled to remind me. They are money hungry lunatics.
