List of William Dudney's Reviews
Dr. Dudney is the first Dr. I've seen who actually listens to me, and works with me to come up with a plan that is best for me and my health journey. I couldn't be happier with my experience, including his friendly office staff.
This is a crooked doctor dispensing pills out of his office. He rarely refers to his notes whenever you have a telephone appointment. He appears to frequently forget who you are and what your issues are. He sometimes doesn't even remember the basics about you as a person, like what is going on in your life or why you are seeing him in the first place. He mistakenly files reports to the state about patient records, which can be problematic when trying to fill medications. He should be investigated by a higher authority.
From Sherie's cheerful greeting to the comfortable & homey atmosphere, it's a pleasure to visit Dr. Dudney! Dr. Dudney's knowledge, professionalism, and demeanor, will assure you that his goal is your well-being!
This doctor is not good. He charged me $400 and did not even spend 30 minutes with me nor did he get any health history from me. He "sold" me 30 days of generic Wellbutrin 75mg for $30 (which you can get at the pharmacy for $4) just to make sure he got some more money. His schedule was not open for the follow up in one month (which I had already decided was out of the question) and the secretary suggested I come back in one week for $300 for 15 of his time. It did not even make sense. I was there to look into Ketamine treatment for depression because I had been feeling so down and he said he only does low dose oral Ketamine now because he doesn't want to deal with the IV Ketamine Treatments. Normally with Ketamine there is supposed to be some kind of monitoring in person or online. There was no guidance about how to take the Ketamine accept to "experiment" with the drug. How he is still in business is baffling and troubling to me. I felt not one shred of interest in me or my issue for the short time I was there. He seemed to be in a hurry to leave the office, which is only open until 12pm when he feels like being open. It am sick at the money and time I wasted with him.
Dr. Dudney is incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. He has been nothing but top-notch, and I have received top treatment from him, and his ever-professional assistant Sheri Varney.
I am a established patient of Dr. Dudney. He is a great Doctor. There is never a wait in the waiting room and I am ALWAYS able to get an appointment when I need it which is especially important to me as I travel for work, with a very unpredictable schedule. Dr. Dudney was able to effectively diagnose my condition and prescribed very effective treatment. In a industry where personal service is less important every day, Dr. Dudney is a rare find. He knows me and I know I Am more then just a number to him and his assistant Sherie. I couldn't speak more highly.
I went there to lose weight and the only treatment he had was pills, and when they stopped working he increased the dose. When I finally said I couldn't function on these, he told me there was nothing more he could do to help me. Then he left me to withdraw from the stimulants without any help. His wife was the secretary and she is super skinny and dressed like she was going out to a night club.
I was referred to Dr. Dudney by another specialist for maintenance/long term care. The office team are friendly, personable, and accommodating. Dr. Dudney listens, is warm and friendly and to the point, understanding how complex my history is and how it effects me. I have severe anxiety around new people and it was completely unwarranted for my first visit (tell my brain that, lol!). I have had a dx of PTSD/anxiety/depression for years and haven’t had luck with anti-depressants. I have been seeing him for several months now and I managed to get through the holidays and daily trials better than I have previously. This is a huge improvement for me (and the family that has to deal with me). Thank you Dr. Dudney!
I found Dr. Dudney through a web search. I had complications from a surgery that required medication for extreme anxiety. Finding a Psychiatrist on short notice in Tampa is near impossible. I found him. Saved my life, literally. I spent 20 years as a Masters Level Psychotherapist and worked under many Psychiatrists. I can attest that this man is one of the best out there. Very detailed, very particular. Very to the point. I highly recommend him.
If you are looking to really get psychiatric help and advice for yourself or a loved one this is not the Doctor! He is under a license to prescribe however that is about it! So depending on what you are after (seeking)... this may or may not be a good fit! Not for me I wanted a long term psych doc to help really help me ...I guess if your after a so called quick fix or so called "weight loss" no issues so to speak... This could be your MAN! Not in my book....! He does not listen nor CARE about psych problems! I will leave it up to the reader to determine if that is a good quality or not! Not what I was after.... I need someone who cares and will truly listen and work with me in my treatment plan! BE WELL AND GOOD LUCK IT IS NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE FINDING A QUALITY PSYCHIATRIC DOCTOR NOWADAYS!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
