Pediatrician-Tarpon Springs Pediatrics's Online Review Report Card

I have been taking both of my daughters here since they were born. Very friendly staff and doctor. They take time to listen to and address your concerns about your child and are also very good about making your child feel comfortable during their check up.

If I could give 0 stars I would. My son had an appointment for children's urology 2 hours away from home (2 weeks old so you know that car ride was H E DOUBLE HOCKY STICKS ) 1 week prior I scheduled the appointment and they said to contact my insurance to switch the primary care dr and get an authorization code. I did my job and contacted the insurance company and got an authorization code to give to tarpon springs peds IMMEDIATELY after calling insurance. Well today I get to my son's appointment and they tell me tarpon springs peds never faxed over the authorization code. So I had to wait an hour for them to open so I could call to let them know they didn't fax it over- once I got on the phone they said I NEVER TOLD THEM THE CODE WHICH IS FALSE !!!!!!!!!!! So they hung up on me. I had to call back 5 mins later to ask them if they found the code and they said no & put me on hold to find it, and they did & that they would fax it over right away.. great right ? WRONG! They didn't send the RIGHT CODE ! I was so devastated and disappointed I handed the phone to the lady at the front desk to talk to tarpon peds themselves & you know what they told her? That they "forgot" to send the right code because she DIDNT LOOK AT THE 2ND PAGE!!!!! How careless could you be ? Our appointment was at 8. We are just now leaving at 10 absolutely empty handed and a new date because they still haven't sent over the code. Something so easy ! They are just absolutely careless and we will NEVER be returning. CARE ABOUT YOUR PARENTS AND PATIENTS PLEASE. This is absolutely unacceptable. Now we have to make the 2 hour drive home- not to mention my breastfed baby had to wait 2 hours + to eat so he was screaming the whole time in the waiting room. Now we have to come back 2 weeks later and miss even more work... let's see if my husband can even make it now since he's already missed work for this!

We are so thankful to have found Dr. Hildalgo and his staff! When we first moved here he was the first doctor we found out of many that honored our “parents choice” point of view. His staff is always super helpful and can normally fit us in same day for sick appointments. He is very knowledgeable and thorough.

We love tarpon springs pediatrics. All of the doctors are always so considerate of our needs and listen to our concerns. I'm always able to get an appointment quickly when needed and have been loyal patients since our son first was born.

I love this pediatrician. Always welcomed with a smile. Always friendly. And always find a way to make my children laugh and feel comfortable. I’ve chosen this place for almost five years now and wouldn’t change them. From new borns to toddlers to kiddos. I have a 8 month old, three year old, and a four year old now who go here. The staff and doctors are the all wonderful. They also have bilingual doctors and staff which is a plus. Would recommend to any parent.

First time visit.. I have 5 kids so their appts were split into 2 since they will only see 3 kids at a time. I'm used to this so nothing unusual. We arrived at 4:40, appt was at 4:50. We didn't get out til 6:50pm with only seeing 3 of my kids. The number of kids isn't to blame anyways because anywhere else we've been never took this long. It being busy also wasn't the case because it was pretty dead. When we first got to the room, it was dirty. All they did was tear down the bed paper liner and pull out a new one, That's it. No wiping anything down, no sanitizing, nothing. Then a lady came in to take my kids blood pressure and ask questions. She was VERY unfriendly and seemed annoyed, no smiles, nothing, my kids told me they were uncomfortable and wanted to leave. Her English was broken and she had a hard time reading the questions. For example, "kon... jor..... keed.... yomp?" (meaning can your kid jump) Took me a min to figure out what she was saying with each question and she also kept saying, "I don't know what it means". Because she wasn't understanding the prompted questions, it didn't feel like she knew what she was doing nor did it feel like it was genuine or personal. The doctor was nice but he took FOREVER to come in like hes on island time. They also don't have sinks in the rooms. They say it's because a kid flooded a room so they removed all the sinks but I don't believe that at all. I think its concerning because I have never NOT had a doctor wash their hands in front of me. Hand sanitizer is in the room yes but I prefer washed hands over hands filled with dirt that were only sanitized. They also dont clean their main bathroom. Before we left the first evening, we went to the bathroom to wash our hands and my kids threw candy in the trash. I looked at the toilet and there was a big wad of wet toilet paper hanging off of it. We washed our hands and left. The next evening when I took my last 2 kids in, we again went to the bathroom to wash before leaving and I noticed that same wad of toilet paper still hanging in the same spot and when we threw our paper towels away, their same candy was still in the trash. So they clearly don't clean their bathroom daily which is a huge red flag especially for a doctors office. Overall, this place is very outdated, old and dirty and the lady with broken English put a bad taste in our mouth with her unfriendlyness. We won't be back and the search for a good doctors office continues....!
