For the past two years, since WellMed took over this practice has become horrific and actually dangerous they mixed up my medical records the records now say that my right eye is blind when it is my left eye that is blind their medical records said I had a bone marrow transplant and cardiac surgery, which is Wrong and does not include the amputation to the big toe on my left foot. It is October 2023 add this practice is still billing my old insurance with Florida blue Medicare part ANB and my advantage plan even though they have had nothing to do with me since September 7 so my new primary care physician billed correctly on September 7 and what is paid but now the insurance company is showing Dr. Carson as a primary care physician and has no explanation for how that could’ve happened before December 31. I had cried medical assistant, and other patients have had to leave this practice. They are dangerous.
My father was a patient at Dr. Carson's office for over 10 years. It was difficult to deal with the office staff before he sold the practice to Well-med and completely beyond horrible after he sold the practice. My father stayed with the practice because it was within walking distance from where he lived. I just moved him to Colorado because taking care of him long distance especially with dealing with this office was too much. 1. My father had labored breathing for over a year and Dr. Carson just said "see the cardiologist." 2. Prior to Dr. Carson selling his practice, my father would have all of his blood work for his different doctors, done at one time because it is difficult to get blood from him. After the practice was sold, they refused to do so. I flew in to Florida from Colorado for one of his appointments. After speaking with Dr. Carson, he agreed that my father should have all of his blood work done at one time. After Dr. Carson left the room, Liz the office mgr came into the room and told us "Dr. Carson does not have the authority to say that, he doesn't own the practice anymore." After I said that I am not leaving the office until Dr. Carson comes back and tells me that himself, she left the room and came back 10 minutes later with an attitude and said they would make the exception. 3. One of the nurses on a phone call told me my father had stage 3 kidney disease and that dialysis would not be an option because car service would cost too much. 4. When I asked a social worker associated with well med for suggestions for help for my father, she said we should get him the robot carpet cleaner - really? My father would trip over it in no time and carpet cleaners don't change bed sheets etc. 5. When you call the office, if you get a live person in under 10 minutes - play lottery. 6. The only descent human being in that office is Jennifer Rappleyea. She follows up with issues and does what she says she is going to do. 7. Liz the office mgr does not care about the patients, and she has no human compassion.
I have been here for many years, staff friendly and Dris grand. Totally happy still.

Dr.Thomas Carson, is very knowledgeable. He has helped for almost 30 years. I've have had various illnesses, broken bones cancer. I credit him %100 for keeping me alive. Funny, factual willing to explain everything and anything I might need help with. Since he sold his practice to Wellcare there has been a bit of a difference adjusting to the new staff. But they have for the most part been helpful and patient. Hes one Great Doctor
This review is from Yvonne Jackson (she does not have Google). I'm posting this review on behalf of patient - Yvonne Jackson: Sept. 14 was the initial visit (new patient) after waiting since May. After meeting with Dr, Carson for 30 minutes a young male associate came in and drew blood - he was obviously untrained in the procedure and blew out the vein (see photo) - also no urine sample was taken - their in house lab is useless. The doctor made her get undressed in front of 2 other people in the room (which was totally unnecessary) and proceeded to conduct a breast exam. The next day her arm was all swollen and bruised . She called the office and came back on the16th - Dr Carson was "too busy" to see her. Tiffany came out to speak with her. Yvonne showed her the arm and Tiffany apologized for the mishap. At this time Yvonne was handed her paperwork on the blood labs (again -no urine report) and spent a little time explaining the blood sugar and cholesterol readings which were slightly elevated (Tiffany was fine and Y has no problem with her). Y was informed that Carson was "too busy' to come out to see Yvonne. Yvonne noticed on the medical office visit report that Carson diagnosed her as BiPolar 2 which upset Yvonne because "how can a family general practitioner make such a diagnosis based on a 30 minute initial visit - this is borderline malpractice"! A follow up visit was scheduled for Nov 14 and today the 4th Carson's office called to cancel the appointment. In Yvonne"s opinion, this medical practice and Carson in particular are unprofessional and not sympathetic to her needs - he told her that he has other fish to fry. New patients should beware!
I wonder why I keep calling them. On hold 18 minutes. No person actually answered to say please hold we are busy. Called again on hold for 15 minutes again. Time to look for another practice. The doctors don’t impress me there and now with COVID service is even worse!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
