I had a wonderful overall experience. I was nervous about the appointment not knowing what the outcome would be. But because everyone was professional, courteous and knowledgeable, it helped to settle my nerves. I would recommend to others.

I came to St Luke"s 2 years ago for cataract surgery.I was concerned about surgery on my eyes and had been putting it off for a couple of years. After reading a article about St Luke"s and the number of surgeries their doctors perform compared to other doctors Decided to give them try.I was put at ease from the moment I checked in right up to the time I had my surgery.I was so impressed that I now have my annual eye exams at St.Luke's with Dr.Scherer.

I did spend lots of time with Kenzie prior to Dr. Scherer coming into the room. It had been a few years since I was last seen and she did ask a few questions to get my medical information updated, she also put 2 different drops in my eyes and checked the pressure in my eyes prior to my exam. I was recently diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes and currently on 2 oral medications. Diabetes does run very high in my family and my PCP wanted me to have an eye exam for diabetes. Dr. Scherer was quick with the exam but did answer all of my questions, I feel he gave me a thorough exam and did what was needed. He made sure I did not have any additional questions before leaving the exam room. I would definitely see him again when I need another follow up exam in a year. If I needed to have an exam for glasses or contacts the exam would have taken longer, that wasn't the case. Kenzie did check my vision with and without my readers prior to Dr. Scherer coming into the exam room.

My appointment was on Dec 30, mid day. Check in to check out was about an hour for a complete diabetic eye exam, even with all the Covid safety procedures. Staff and Dr. Scherer were very professional and I was treated above my expectations. Will definitely return.
