Excellent Doctor!!!
Tran did my surgery 5 months ago for hernia that I had two wait two months for the initial visit and another 2 for the surgery so had to wait around for four months with it before I even was able to have it taken care of does the surgery and five months later it’s right back to where it was to begin with. Calls back and am told I have to have a referral from my primary to get an app for the recurrence from the surgery they performed. So they want me to wait another two months for that app so I can get another app with them 2 months after that and a surgery prob another 2 months after that initial app. So they told me I could wait basically another six months with a hernia that had a low chance of returning that I’m in full pain from again currently. So get to live with a hernia for another half a year because the said there referral staff said I had to go threw my primary to be seen again. They did the surgery they should take the app for it but because they only care about money and not people they won’t. Tran seemed wildly confident that it was an easy fix and when I came back for check up after the surgery only gave me five seconds and left never really looked it it didn’t care what I had to say was convinced all was perfect five months later working at home at that and again another hernia same spot mesh floating around in my body no app given to me told to take the long road when Tran only looked at it for five seconds on the check up. It’s ridiculous and unprofessional in every way but hey what do they care
Bum's rush out the door for my follow - up, and here I am with the same condition a year later, this time even more painful.
I had to have my gallbladder removed and Dr. Tran was able to repair a small umbilical hernia while doing the surgery. The initial consultation was good. When I started to ask a bunch of questions because I was unsure about all things regarding gallbladder and its removal, he was great at answering all my questions and had plenty of diagrams to use for comparison. He made me feel very comfortable with doing the surgery. The staff in the office were really nice and they were able to get me scheduled quickly. Surgery went well— The nurses that get you checked in and deal with everything before Dr. Tran comes in were amazing. Dr. Tran came in and did a quick check in with me we went over everything that he was doing again and we went to surgery. I’m only giving four stars instead of five because the re-check went very quickly and when I brought up the “gas pain” that I was told about by the nurses and read online he said that wasn’t a true thing and it was just muscle pain from laying for so long, so I was confused. Overall great doctor to work with.
I went in to get a hernia looked at. I was told being a self pay my office visit would be 45.00 theycharged me 110.00. Again im a self pay. They wanted me to come in for surgury which I oked as long as it was affordable. After waiting for 3 days they called to tell me itwould be 10.000.00 dollars more than I can afford. Thankfully there's a hernia specialist in ft Meyers that does the operation with no mesh for 3700.00. It's unfortunate that there are people like me. Middle aged white male no insurance Obama care would cost me 700.00 a month. Not a good deal for the middle aged white guy thats worked and paid his own way for going on 60 years now.
I was referred to Dr Tran on an emergency basis. He saw me right away. Had blood clot in hemorrhoids. Took care of it at that time. Had more clots after that. Well I ended up having surgery. He was excellent! Surgery was painful, but I got over it. Would go back to him anytime. Wonderful Dr. staff was wonderful too. Staff at surgery was excellent, very helpful and caring. Great team. Thank you Dr Tran.
Dr. Tran did a colonoscopy on my husband and a large rectal tumor was found. At the follow up he was very thorough in explaining in detail the risk and steps needed. Even drew us pictures. He then had his staff do an immediate referral to a rectal specialist.
He performed surgery for my appendix that had burst. When he first visited me in the ER at LRMC, he immediately spotted a hernia and assured me he would correct during surgery which he did. I had my follow up visit today and all three office staff were friendly and efficient. He removed my drainage tube and took time to discuss my surgery in detail. Very enjoyable and caring visit.
He has been my GI doctor for the last 6 years and has been amazing. He did surgery on me and has been great along with his staff. I recommend him to anyone with GI issues.
Dr. Dan Tran used the laparoscopic method to remove my gall bladder in Oct. 2017. Make sure he is SURE that he got it all, because I had to have the remainder removed in a 3-hour surgery with the open method on 6-21-18. This remnant was 1/3 the size of the gall bladder and contained over 100 gall stones! At my post-operatives visit at his office, he said he tried his best and "hoped" that he got it all. He should have suggested a CT scan to be sure, because a CT later revealed the remnant.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
