List of Florida Cancer Specialists And Research Institute's Reviews
I was recently diagnosed with renal cancer. I am still in the testing stage and dont know yet what if anything can be done. The very first impression was of the woman at the check in desk. She was very rude I was uneasy the rest of the time I was there. I have an appointment next week hopefully it goes better. I may be looking for a new Oncologist if it doesnt. This is about my Life not some cold or flu bug. The staff in a cancer institute should have compassion and genuinely care about there patients. And I dont mean just a few of them but every single one. The front desk person is the face of the office The one that makes the patient feel like they are in good hands. I felt like a burden instead of a cared for patient. If you can make any recommendations let me know.
They call you to come in early for your appointment The lady at the desk looks at you like you have 3 heads and you wait over an hour after your original appt. time. what a joke.
The staff is terrible you cannot trust them AT ALL. There have been many times where they schedule an appointment for a test at a hospital and I show up for the test and the hospital don’t except my insurance then they reschedule the test for a different day and I show up to find out the test is scheduled for a different day. It seems like the staff do not care if they WASTE your time. I will say this the office manager Donna does a GREAT job but it is REALLY SAD she cannot trust her employees. I will also say Dr. Hussain is the best he is on top of things and will call you any time you need him. And knows what he is doing. Dr. Hussain is the only reason that I except my daughter to continue her treatment at this facility.
I dont have cancer anymore. Enough said.
This practice does not come close to meeting their mission statement. As others they have a upbeat positive recording while you languish on hold but the staff does not treat patients or the families as they would have you believe from those recordings. They are very unorganized and do not return calls in a timely fashion. The nurses are rude and make excuses to cover up the practices disorganization. Physicians do not present all options and clear with treatment plan nor expected outcome. In my example They discuss may of theses things with my elderly father whom has dementia and intracranial cancer which causes further confusion. Not once have they called his family namely me who has power of attorney over my fathers affairs to discuss treatment.
Dr Hussein is absolutely wonderful. He is informative nice and a concerned doctor. His staff is wonderful. If you have any form of cancer hes the person to see

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
