List of Chapters Health System's Reviews
My Father with Stage 3 Parkinsons DiseaseDementia was taken to the Melech Hospice House for a 3 day respite. His hallucinations had increased and he had become combative at home. We were told he would be evaluated and quite possibly have some recommended medication changes as his anxiety medication had appeared to stop working. He is fully mobile at home with his walker and in good mind most of the time. On the evening of the 2nd day he Sundowned and was given an overdose of phenobarbital. 40 hours later my Father could still not be awoken. I became concerned about him not receiving fluids and nutrition by IV and the withholding of all his medications. I was told they would have to get a Dr.s order because they really dont administer IVs in respite. Then they proceeded to administer morphine while still unconscious. The next morning during shift change I was told by the new Nurse that my Fathers health continued to fail which was to be expected when entering the final life stages and asked if I would like Aromatherapy introduced into the room and had I been given a Peaceful Passage pamphlet to review. At that point I revoked Lifepath Hospice and dialed 911 for an ambulance. It was discovered in the ER that my Father had a serious UTI left undiagnoseduntreated and many steps had to be taken simply to reverse the effects of the Phenobarbital and Morphine before he could even be treated. He remained in the hospital for 5 days before being released and is back home now and doing well.Just the day before his Respite he was sitting at the dinner table eating Wendys.BEWARE This organization does not at all focus on lifesustainment despite what they tell you when enrolling you in their at home program. They all but killed my 88 year old Father without the blink of an eye
The staff go above and beyond to assist those of us terminally ill with Cancer. Social worker Ashanti with Ruby team is a Godsend. My nurse Carol Smith is caring supprti and goesthe extra mile. Im stage four and not dealing with it very well she has helped me. I recommend them highly
Our experience with Lifepath was excellent. We were sceptical at the beginning thought it was going to be lots of talk and little action but they truly helped us in such a difficult time. When we needed help nurses and social workers were there several times in person and late at night to guide us and make an almost unbearable time better for all parties involved. Very grateful.
As a graduate of the University of South Florida in Gerontology and having to possibly call on their services. I WILL not endorse them ever and will speak to Morasani and USF Heath Services about their lack of empathy sympathy and general lack of unskilled inept and unqualified work ethics. This is Hospice folks the end of life. Shame.
My husband received better care at the Melesh Hospice House in Temple Terrace then he did at Moffitt Urgent Care Center. The nurses were awesome and never got upset with him sometime he would yell at them but it was the brain cancer not him and they respected that. When the home nurse came to the house for her first visit she took one look at his legs and said he needed more care then she could give him. She had him admitted to the Hospice House the same day and they began treatment. Sadly he passed away and never made it back home but they kept him pain free and he just peacefully passed away. My thanks to the doctor nurses and staff of this facility.
I guess comfort care is having a nurse who knows nothing about medications showing up for 10 minutes twice a week and then when you call the emergency line being told a nurse is not necessary since your father is dying and to just keep on giving him morphine and tell him that you give him permission to die...Oh and I cant leave out having a nurse taking the DNR to copy it and forgetting about it.
The nurses was extremely kind caring competent and empathetic. However their social service people did not listen and made decisions without respecting the familys decisions. Comfort Care was withheld despite familys specific requests. Would not use them again. Very disappointing experience
I don’t have a lot of experience with Hospices in general but I can share that this Hospice was respectful helpful compassionate empathetic and competent. They went into immediate action to make sure my mother was comfortable. Everyone was friendly and thoughtful.
Worst expierence ever My mom was recieving hospice care and continuous care at home. Her head nurse monica was horrible We ran out of my moms meds twice Ran out of suppy molies several times to the point I had to go to hospital and my moms previous nurses had to give me supplies for my momthank God for the nurses at hospital who knew and loved mom 3 different times all after reporting to monica that mom was running low on items. Monica increased my mother medications but never updated anything in system or moms chart. Monica also was very rude insensitive and even argumentative. Monica abruptly stopped my mothers care without any explanation and left her without any meds. I had to make several calls to get her meds and a new nurse out who could help us and reevaluate my mom and continuous care was resumed next day. Monica also laughed at us and ignored us when we voiced our concerns or had questions. And she also insulted social worker maria in front of us and implied she didnt know what she was talking about. Which we have all these things and conversations recorded My mother passed away 82818 about only 3 hours of finally getting her meds from another nurse tammy Monica NEVER got moms meds to us. Since mom haa passed Monica hasnt contacted us or offered any apology or condolence We now have a lawyer handling inveatigation. I also brought up all concerns and voicemail and messages with supervisors Mary and shelly. I can honestly say that I wouldnt wish this on my worst enemy. Very cruel and showed no compassion Please dont trust Monica from Rubys team with the care of your loved one

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
