Spend hours on hold to secure an appointment. Return calls go to spam so must watch phone for incoming calls. Asked for a referral and the office only faxed my insurance information and name...no referral. Then tried to contact office but again on hold for more than an hour ...and No one answered. Doctor did not look at my hand only said I need an infectious disease doctor. Very frustrating experience.
Easy to find in the Specialty Building in Brownwood. Excellent, friendly, helpful staff. Efficient service & professional caregivers.
Not good experience.
My wife's experience at the Brownwood location was mixed. Waited between 30 minutes or so to get in.She was new to the center so she did not choose the doctor but was referred there. Did not see the surgeon. Saw the PA who was very polite and obviously skilled. PA ordered MRI for shoulder but she asked if the xrays were studied and he replied yes but they were not shown to her. PA believed the fall she had warranted MRI which was completed. All considered she likes the Ocala location maybe because of familiarity given 2 joint replacements there and explanation of the xrays taken at the time of the consulatation.. Brownwood location is new lovely spacious and very convenient to The Villages. Waiting room was busy so the facility draws clientele which is good for the area.
Very fast
Took my husband here for his knee and the PA we saw was fantastic. Helped him develop a plan going forward for his severe knee issues. The facility is very nice, too.
I love Dr Van de Leur. On the other hand the wait times are unacceptable. The first appointment I waited 2 hours and then I asked to be rescheduled. The second appointment I waited 90 minutes and the third was 90 minutes. And I’m talking until I saw the Dr. Let’s talk about scheduling. While they were quite friendly I was on a referral and stated exactly what I needed done for my continuing injections. My previous Dr left the area. After waiting 90 minutes I’m told they don’t do that type of injection. I’m a firm believer that scheduling should know what their drs offer. The final straw today was they said they would refer me somewhere else they think can help me. Done. I’ll do my own research from now on and make sure an office can provide a service that they schedule me for.
Good service and pre and post op experience.
Terrible. My wait was over 90 minutes without explanation. The young man who checked me in at the front desk was very polite, however the girls behind the front desk were laughing and joking around being very boisterous and very unprofessional. It was a late Friday afternoon and they were already mentally checked out for the weekend. When I made the appointment via phone I let them know I had two issues to be looked at. I saw a nurse/assistant first, and she knew nothing about one symptom. I explained that stmptom for the second time. When the PA came in, he only knew of one symptom. So, I had to explain for a third time. Then on my way out I was given two sheets of paper that were printed out by a younger woman. She made no effort to tell me what these were for. She handed them to me with no explanation. No thank you, have a good evening, nothing. She was obviously pissed that I was there late on a Friday. After glancing at them I realized it was a description of my symptoms with my personal info and a prescription to see a physical therapist, one sheet for each symptom. However, I was given no instruction on where to go, no recommendations, nothing to go about finding a good PT.
My experience was great. This place ran like a well oiled machine for my first visit. Front desk staff and the medical team were all super nice and helpful!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
