Had my left hip replaced 12/3/25 by Dr. Paul Mahle at UF HEALTH ORTHOPAEDICS. He is a nice, personable, knowledgeable, doctor. Easy going personality, great surgeon. I had the anterior (frontal) approach done which went great, as opposed to another surgeon somewhere else that did my right hip replacement posteriorly (which was a very long difficult recovery). Much easier to recover w Dr. Mahle, felt safe and comfortable w/Dr. Mahle and UF HEALTH SPANISH SPRINGS HOSPITAL was FANTASTIC, 5 STAR RATING! Have been to this hospital before and same 5 star rating applies!

I gave it a one star, because I couldn't go lower. I fired the doctor there and went to a specialist in Gainesville. He took x-rays, shook his head and I had a date for a surgery in about 15 minutes. He couldn't believe the pain that I was in. The number of mistakes that were made by this office was unbelievable. Wrong hip, wrong sex, wrong part of the body where surgery was to be performed and it goes on. I'll probably laugh about it in 10 years or so, but not right now. I hope for a better outcome in about two weeks.

I went into this hospital over four hours ago and haven't been seen the first thing they do is check you in and give you a bracelet and then take your insurance information and then four hours later nobody comes out mind you there was only five people waiting one of them being there for seven hours. I was struck by a vehicle. I'm an extreme pain. when I ask them if they were still going to bill my insurance since I haven't been seen by a doctor or even a registered nurse, they couldn't answer that question they could not answer if they were going to commit insurance fraud.

Today was my first visit with Dr. Tankson and he listened to me and came up with a treatment plan for me! The entire staff was very professional and helpful and Beth especially! She was very personable, answered all my questions and was very caring! Kudos to Beth!

My Husband Ronald Robles met with Dr. zarezadeh ( Dr Z) he was awesome and took his time with you ! He explained everything well . I would give him 5 stars ! The office staff was wonderful too

My experience was more than “5 Star” with UF Health Orthopedic, thanks to Dr Paul Mahle and his team. It all began with a fall at a friends home!! I found myself on the tile floor in horrible pain immediately. I knew it was going to be a trip to the emergency room. I prayed in the ambulance that my hip was not fractured. X-rays showed that my hip was indeed fractured. My prayers changed to, please send me a top surgeon. I have been a health advocate for many family members as well as friends. From those experiences, I knew I didn’t want my muscle cut, I wanted to be in the faster lane for healing!! My prayers were answered when Dr Mahle walked into my room. He reviewed my options for replacing my fractured hip. He agreed that full hip replacement, anterior cut, muscle not cut was an option for me🙏❤️😊 Thank you Dr Mahle for coming to UFHealth Orthopedic. The talent and commitment you bring to this Central Florida area with all the latest technology for hips and knees is such a gift that this community has prayed for. I am so very grateful you were on call the night I fell. Your hospital staff and office staff have the same professional, kind caring personality. I have always said a good leader sets the atmosphere. Surgery is completed now what? UF Health offers inpatient Rehab, that I was fortunate to get into. The staff of professionals under the direction of Chris Weber, are the best I have seen. The PT’s and OT’s all work together to get you backup and functioning at a rapid pace. For Outpatient Rehab, UF Health offers this option as well on the same floor as the doctors office!! The outpatient team are all dedicated professionals. They motivate you to get the most out of your 45 minute session, to get you back to a happy, healthy lifestyle. I am happy to say, just short of 3 months, I have completed my rehab and back to enjoying life. Pat Eggert

Dr Tankson has always been great! This is the first time seeing him in a few years and him and his team (Beth and Danielle) are very attentive to needs.

I was seen by Dr Tankson and Danielle. Danielle was very good and efficient. She kept me calm as I got both of my shots.

Absolutely loved the staff and the Dr! I definitely recommend this practice
