Donna Ivery's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Ivery was my gyno for 6 years. I loved her. I was on the pill for 10 years when I decided to quit. Dr. Ivery supported me in this decision fully. But on my last visit, her views on the pill had done a complete 180. She had a threatening manner, "Either take the pill or have bad period cramps- OR I can do a very invasive surgery- Your choice." It seems a pharmaceutical company is in her pockets now. a SHAME. Also, her office staff have become increasingly incompetent. I will not be returning.

I had seen Dr. Ivery many years ago, for pap and annual exam. I loved her professionalism and integrity. She was honest and forthright with me, even when discussing surgical option involving a possible overian cyst, which thankfull Was taken care of with one acupuncture treatment versus surgery. I returned to Dr Ivery for another issue and she far exceeded my expectations, giving me idea to prevent fungal infection from returning by soaking my clothing, towels, etc in vinegar & water.

Office demanded payment up front and told me I had to file my own insurance claim. I called Blue Cross to ask how to file a claim and I was advised that they were not supposed to demand $$$ up front only copayments. Blue Cross advised they were calling the MD. They called me back and told me she owed me my $$$ back and they were dropping her due to failure to abide by the insurance contract. She’s a good MD but her office staff needs retraining

I am so glad I found Dr Ivery, she is a caring, compassionate, and a very informed doctor. I drive over an hour to see her and would drive even further. Her knowledge on hormone replacement is superior to other doctors in the area. I have nothing but praise for her and her staff.

I went to her based on her positve reviews. I had never met her. After waiting almost an hour she walked into my room & laughed at me before she even said hello. I have severe rosacea which makes my face always very red. She spent her time trying to sell me very expensive skin care products. As I was leaving (escaping) the staff made me take a "before" photo & forced the product on me, which went immediately into the trash. Focus on gynecology rather than trying to humiliate patients.

She is a doctor that cares about her patients.

I've been going to Dr. Ivery as a patient for many years and she is also the doctor for my mom. She is wonderful...always takes her time with you and makes you feel very comfortable in the exam room. When she performed surgery on my mom, she really took the time to make sure our family understood the procedure and provided great post-care and follow up. It's one thing to have a doctor take good care of you, but it's another when it's your family.
