Wanda Torres's Online Review Report Card

Mi primera cita fue con la Dr.Wanda muy amable y atenta, mis demás consultas ya no han sido con ella y el personal es amable y demás, pero tengo que agendar varias citas para darle "solución" a un problema y eso sí es lamentable ya que no tengo seguro médico y pagar por algo que en una o dos citas se puede solucionar (a mi criterio) si desilusiona.

I reached out to Dr Torres' office in July Seeking information on hormone replacement therapy. I spent some time on the phone with her husband Javier. He was incredibly knowledgeable and did a great job explaining services that could be offered as well as her hands-on approach. My appointment was in mid September located in Trinity. It was quite a wait from July & not close to me. I understood this would require me to have more financial responsibility and redo labs which had recently been done. Based on my conversation, I decided it was worthwhile to wait. I wanted a provider that was knowledgeable. I was convinced she would be it. Finally my appointment day arrived months later! I left my house in oldsmar at approximately 9:07 for a 10:00 a.m. appointment. It appeared the practice was about 25 to 30 minutes away from my house. I utilized the waze application for driving since I dont live in Trinity. Unfortunately it took me to an area that was 2 mi away (near a 7-Eleven and another medical complex). I drove around for at least 10 minutes trying to locate the practice before calling at 10:43. I was a bit lost. The lady on the phone was super kind and said don't worry we've got you. She also explained where they're located inside of an area with a BayCare sign. I utilized Google maps and was able to arrive at 10:03 for a 10:00 appointment. All of my initial paperwork had been done online weeks ahead and the practice had all of my past notes prior to my arrival. The lady at the front desk stated since I was 3 minutes late she would have to ask the doctor for permission. She came back after a few minutes and stated they could reschedule me for the earliest in November. She stated the doctor made the final decision & there was nothing she could do there was no way they could fit me in any longer. I understand the practice perspective the last thing I wanted to do was push her behind on patients which is why I was willing to wait longer that day. This appointment was important to me. From a patient perspective,I literally had waited since July for this appointment in September. Being told that I would need to wait till November was unacceptable. I'm incredibly disappointed with the customer service at this practice. I would highly recommend anybody thinking of utilizing this practice to reconsider.

I left Dr. Torres' office in 2017 due to the complete unprofessionalism shown by her staff. I had been a patient for close to 10 years. Never had any issues previous to this. I later found out because a collections office contacted me over $15 that this office said it was owed. I never received any bill or any communication that I owed any kind of money prior. So I walked away. I was frustrated and upset but I walked away. This year I needed to get my medical records transferred to another doctor. This office charged me over $100 for my own records not printed emailed.

They would not schedule my surgery without me paying upfront a couple thousand dollars of my "estimate" even before the insurance claim was submitted. When it came back after months of waiting because they had to resubmit notes and information for the procedure, my deductible had already been met so my responsibility was $0. They owed me the money but it was so stressful trying to get it back from them. It took over 3 months and their Office Manager was so rude and unfeeling towards me. I have switched doctors since. Terribly run practice.

Been seeing Dr. Torres for probably 10+ years. No one I trust more with my gynecological health!!

Dr. Torres is great but her staff, in particular the Office Manager, Veronica, is terrible. They made me pay upfront for my portion of the surgery before the surgery even happened and was submitted to my insurance for my responsibility. It turns out I owed $0 because other claims had hit my policy and I had satisfied my deductible in full. They now had $2371.70 of my money until they completely processed through the Insurance Company which took longer than normal because they were missing notes. I still have not collected $1185.85 of what I paid over 2 months after the surgery happened. I would not recommend this office at all.

This is a great practice. Dr Wanda Torres is the best.

This practice is the best. From the doctors to the staff everyone is awesome
