Sonia Ruiz's Online Review Report Card

My son was always sick, and the others doctors always said it was because the daycare and I get it, but every week my soon was loosing daycare time, until we found doctor Sonia. She changed his vitamins and everything and he is the healthiest boy. He gets sick once in a while (don’t get me wrong) but she is the best pediatrician I know. She is not there to waist her time so she goes strictly to the point which is something I appreciate it. She is a great professional and I’m pretty sure she’ll be our pediatrician until he becomes an adult.

From the moment I first walked into her practice at the age of five, I knew I was in capable hands. Just horrible. We recently moved to Tampa,Florida with our newborn who was due for his 2 month appointment. Not only did they cancel his appointment without notifying, they also lost my paperwork and couldn’t find my appointment slot which I made in office when I appeared the week before! They made us wait 2 hours while verifying my insurance which was provided a week ago. She was very unprofessional - instead of seeing one patient at a time, she was hopping from one room to another. She condescendingly gave me advice that went against all the other pediatricians’ at the hospitals and previous office that we visited before relocating. She prescribed medications without reasoning and when asked what vaccines she was prescribing, she wouldn’t name them and just constantly said he was getting 6 - made me feel like I’m so stupid for not knowing beforehand. I also found her rude when she made the comment that I need to do whatever it takes to keep my son from crying…for heavens sake he’s only 2 months old. Safe to say, we won’t be returning and will be finding a new pediatrician!

Dr. Sonia Ruiz helped me with my gut issues, my fatigue and tiredness, brain fog, short term memory lapses . I saw her for nutrition assessment and did the nutreval test . I am grateful to have done this test , now I know what vitamins, minerals and enzymes I am deficient . Not only that ! I found out that my have high levels of mercury in my blood that if I haven't known of this would lead me to be very sick and might have neurological problems in the near future. I only hope that my insurance will pay this test. But if you advocate for your health and wellness you pay now less than we you are very sick it's going to be more expensive . Again thank you Doc, now I am sure of what I need to eat and what supplements to take so I can be of better health.

Terrible experience. I do not recommend anyone to go there. I don't know how the doctor is licensed. I took my children for an annual check-up. began to say that my children had haggard eyes and inside their noses are red can be sinocitis . He put my girl on medical treatment for a terrible 2 monthssss , going to her like every 14 days... . charging amounts of money to insurance. Ect I will never set foot there in my life..

Never will you wonder how Sonia Ruiz feels about you because her face will tell it all. I refuse to even call her a doctor. First I thought it was just her herritage to credit for her cold demeanor, but it became blatantly apparent that wasn’t the case. Nope, just a rude & arrogant individual. ZERO BEDSIDE MANOR. Every visit left me questioning whether or not to bring my child back,only to finally be pushed to the point where i had to stop her in mid examination of my son to tell her how demeaning & offensive she was being & I was leaving! Everything I did as a parent was wrong & she had no problem letting me know ridiculous she found my maternal suggestions. She belittled not only me but the entirety of her office staff at some point in one the 5 visits made to the office, right in front of me too, i don’t know maybee to assert dominance. I Have no idea how she has a license but i would love to know how to further report this women who has no buisness working with our children!

Horrible, every time we visit Dr Sonia Ruiz she is always frustrated at us lecturing and giving us an attitude. My husband has stopped coming in with me because I tend to stay calm and he easily snaps. Today was my last day and I walk out to find out two receptionists complained about my son crying a lot.

Awful experience. My husbands insurance was due to expire end of April. We got my son and daughter scheduled for their physicals a week before their insurance ended. We were there for almost 3 hours for their appointment. Less than 3 weeks later, my daughter brings her physical form in for basketball and they flat out refused to fill it out stating she needed to be seen again! My husband explained to them that the reason that she was brought in 3 weeks ago was FOR HER PHYSICAL and he is no longer insured but they absolutely refused to fill out the paper stating she needed blood work and a urinalyasis???? Will NEVER be back.

No es nada profesional siempre anda aprisas y con mala actitud siempre nos trata bien mal no es nada amable…… Y ella asepta personas con COVID y no creo k desinfecten el cuarto porque siempre están sin personal……..si pudiera le diera 5 negativo……

We moved from Miami to Valrico about 2 yrs ago, had to find a pediatrician and came across Dr Ruiz on Google and noticed she had really good reviews. Since day 1 this doctor has been unprofessional, rude, impatient, etc... She's always prescribing vitamins from a website which she gets credit from that my son does not need. She's more of a salesman than a pediatrician. Also, there's always an issue for her to fill out paperwork for school or therapy that my son needs. Looking for a new pediatrician, any recommendations? Please do not bring your child to this doctor, she will make you feel like you're doing everything wrong as a parent....
