If I could give this Doctor a 0 I would, Was never actually seen by the Doctor. 2 Nurse practitioner’s saw me and told me there is nothing they can do for me. I have waited months for this appt, and called Monday to cancel because my child was sick… Becky who is a staff member said “oh no, we want to see you”, why not just tell me you have no experience with what I’m going thru rather me drive an hour to be told there is nothing you can do for me. Becky was extremely rude from the beginning! This office clearly doesn’t deal with the issue I am dealing with which would have been nice to know before making the drive. ALSO, let me talk about the HIPAA violation… leaving the computer screen up with all the patients and names, number, DOB and reasoning why they are coming is so unprofessional. Get it together. Also waited an hour in the room before anyone came in to see me.
Initial consultation with Dr Farooq was during my hospitalization. He was very kind & spent a good amount of time discussing things a-z with me before treating me on iv antibiotics for almost 4 weeks. The additional RNs I saw in the hospital were prompt & answered any additional questions. The office staff was great! Very caring & kind, & I'm so thankful for the help of everyone involved!
My wife's primary care physician referred her to Dr Farooq in November. Unfortunately, he was not going to be available due to a family emergency. We were forced to use another infectious disease facility. They treated her unsuccessfully twice. When we tried to make an appointment with Dr Farooq after he returned and explained the problem with the other Drs, his office said that their policy was not to help anyone who was seeing another Dr!!! Obviously their "policies" are more important than patients.
Dr. Farooq treated me with the upmost care for a serious infection in my leg. He was able to cure the infection. If it weren't for him I don’t know what I would have done.
I received outstanding care from Dr Farooq and I trust him completely! He is a perfectionist which is a great quality for a doctor to have! I am grateful I ended up in his care and I shall continue seeing Dr Farooq after my release from the hospital!
Not helpful in dealing with logistics of treatment. Changes treatment plan abruptly. Overreactive to seriously of issues. Not reassuring to patients.Doesn’t work with patients on a collaborative basis. Doesn’t consider the whole patient, including psychological issues around treatment.
Worst experience going to a doctor ever. It seems like this doctor couldn’t figure out my spouses issue so he just left her hanging and not one call from him after a visit from him in the hospital in 2 months. The office staff was very unprofessional which made the experience even worse. Better off googling your own symptoms rather than relying on this guy. Way to go Doc!!
Consistently excellent care
The doctor has no interest in treating a UTI. He laughs a lot and jokes with his staff. Asks me, the patient what I was there for. He had to results of a urine culture and told me that not a problem. His staff sent me to Venice Regional for IV antibiotic but never spoke to me or the staff on the ACU floor.
Dr. Farooq is about the happiest person I know. He's consciousness, personable, compassionate. Feel am in the best hands there are.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
