Husband have been his patient for many years and feels he is knowledgeable, well-skillef, compassionate, with much experience and has been available for appointments as needed. Whenever there is a concern and it's determined to be necessary, he'll have testing performed within associate at their office. Particularly of note is that he regularly monitors aortic aneurysms.

He may not be the best at bedside manor but not everyone is a politican. He has the skills where it counts. He did emergency abdominal surgery on me without advanced notice and everything worked out. Good job Doc!

We have Dr Smith and his PA Jessica to thank for my husband’s life... literally. They saved him from starvation by placing a feeding tube after treatment for esophageal cancer. Then they, and their team performed a very complex surgery between the esophagus and the stomach, resulting in removing all of the remaining damaged tissues. There are not enough words to thank them and Venice Regional Bayfront Hospital for all that they have done!

Dr. Smith, Jason and his staff are very professional and thorough. They made sure I understood my upcoming surgery and preparations. Dr.Smith explained all possible scenarios during my procedure leaving no questions unanswered.
