Paul Gonter's Online Review Report Card

I went into this doctor's office for a simple consultation. I was directed to have blood drawn before I ever met with a nurse or a doctor. I received a $200 bill for a 3 minute conversation with the doctor who said he could not help me. I just received a $1,000 bill for blood tests that I had no idea were being delivered and where I never saw the results. I called to complain and was told I should have questioned the work before it was done. The billing specialist was not interested in resolving the matter, just getting the bill paid. Very unprofessional.

Absolutely awful and negligent Dr my first apt which I waited 5 weeks for Dec 7th Joyce the NP saw me, did a 3 min download to DR Gonter he came in and said..Ok lets get you iron you will feel so much better also lets schedule a CT Scan check your blood for all types of disease/illness! OK on Dec 9th I got iron, on Dec 15th I got ct scan them with same IV walked straight in for iron where I went into severe allergic reaction, lungs shut down throat etc next Day DR Goners NP called and said DR Gonter wants to give me more Iron? We explained we have several med people in family and if I have second bad reaction I could die? She said yes that can happen? So I need to talk with Dr Gonter my next apt is Dec 21st Dr Gonter immediately tries to sell me on more iron? My wife was with me so we ask about blood test and ct scan? A..da is what Dr Gonter says..you know you said you were testing my blood? And I got a Ct scan where are those results? With this Dr Gonter looks it up in comp and says oh boy you do not need iron we need to worry about this mass in your abdominal cavity???? He had the Radiology report on 12-15 but never even looked at it so 5 more days stolen from my life a total of 7 weeks this negligent Dr stole from me…do your home work this guy should be fired!!!!! And change his job before he try’s to Kill more patients. I am now a patient at Moffitt Cancer in Tampa

He is very professional and caring, explaining what is happening and makes recommendations. He listens to your questions and tries to work with your wishes if he feels it is safe. I highly recommend him for a doctor.

Great Doctor very caring and extremely intelligent. Saved me twice.

I was seen by Dr. Gonter for a short time, while I was being tested for cancer (which, thank goodness, I do not have, at least now). I honestly believe he is one of the best physicians I have ever seen. He explains things clearly for patients. He is not offended or challenged when you ask questions, but answers them openly. Best of all, in my opinion, and in his own words to me: "I am very thorough but I am very conservative." He does not rush into treatment, but follows a conservative and appropriate protocol. If ever I need an oncologist again, I would go to no one but Dr. Gonter.

DR. GONTER IS FABULOUS! HE'S VERY PROFESSIONAL AND CARING.

Good professional manner. Speaks clearly and answers any concerns I had. Glad he is my doctor as he seems very concerned about my well-being.
