Dr Hickman replaced my him and I had a fast recovery without any problems. He has a wonderful bedside manner and listens when you talk, and answers all your questions. Overall I recommend him.

I have been a patient of Dr. Hickman's over the last 20 years for different orthopedic problems I have incurred. I find him to be a very good doctor and I like his personality. I would highly recommend him. He has never steered me wrong and listens to you carefully.

I am so thankful to Vero ortho staff and Dr Hickman. My 2 yr old fell and broke her ankle on a Saturday night, took her to ER Sunday morning was told to follow up w ortho if she continues to not put weight on leg. I called everywhere Tuesday morning from Martin, St. Lucie and Indian river county and VO was the only place that would accept a 2 yr old same day. Dr Hickman was so kind to see her right away and took great care of her and absolutely relieved my worries. He is great w small children and I am so appreciative to him and the VO staff, esp Marcie who helped to get us in same day!

Skilled, compassionate and able to quell fears of his patients loved ones. When my 93 year old Aunt fell, I called him from the emergency room and he came in and did her surgery the next morning. This is despite the fact that Dr. Hickman was not on duty that next day. Obviously, his surgery was fantastic, because my 93 year old Aunt who hip was operated on was walking within 10 days. What a doctor!

I saw Dr. Hickman sometime ago and found him to be an excellent doctor. My knee replacement is wonderful. Works like my regular knee. My care was superb.

I absolutely trust Dr. Hickman's judgement and feel he really cares about his patients As a hip replacement patient with some serious joint and bone complications, I feel he has always been honest in offering an opinion on the best course of treatment. He takes his time to explain and has good sense of humor. .

Had a broken hip, brought to hospial by ambulance, hospial picked Hickman, did surgery, day after surgery, Hickman came in hospital room, we met for the first time, he did not at first say how surgery went, but said I was a BAD father for allowing my children to ride motorcycles, he said to me do i know how many children get hurt riding motorcycles? i was to say the least very upset, he doesn't know me ,nor did i know him, get out Isaid, oh by the way your leg after surgery is now 3/4 inch shor
