List of Haane Massarotti's Reviews
8 weeks later after my mom had a routine colostomy we are still in the hospital. Dr Massarotti was very negligent. My mom had went septic an she didn’t try to wash out any infection and then tried discharging her after the third day when she had to take out a few staples for the infection to drain out. After I voiced concerns there were a couple more very negligent incidents that I had to trust my gut and get a second opinion. This surgeon saved my moms life. Thank God I was there to advocate for my mom or she wouldn’t be here today. We are still looking at another few weeks before able to go home. I would not recommend this dr to anyone and neither would a lot of the staff that works at the hospital!
Came out of surgery exactly the same! No change! What a waste of time, money and pain. Plus her office manager told me I had no co pay and I was charged $810. Find another doctor.
Dr. Massarotti literally saved my life in August 2017. My original J-Pouch surgery was performed at Mt. Sinai hospital in NYC in 1984 and it never performed correctly or as the surgeon had described. I had 34 years of misery having to empty my pouch a few times a day with a 10” long rubber catheter and and bulb syringe with water. I also had many episodes of pouchitis, a nasty infection that had to be treated with strong antibiotics. Dr. Massarotti removed the internal pouch and gave me an Ileostomy which has changed my life. I can now eat almost everything and have a normal life and can travel without the fear and worry of having to use a nasty enema process to empty my old J-pouch. God bless you Dr. Massarotti!
I was continuously weight shamed and wasn’t included in the decision making of my own body for surgery; her way or no way. After failed surgeries I left for a second opinion since my voice wasn’t being heard. When I requested my records from her office they also did not reflect an honest outline of my time with Massarotti. My experience was night and day at the new Dr and I was able to pick my Ostomy site!! Everyone should be able to pick their Ostomy site within reason. People shouldn’t be forced to live with something that doesn’t work for them just because the Dr “always does it this way”.
The worst experience in 40 years of chronic illness. Dr. Massarotti has had the results of my cancer screening test on her desk for two weeks and will not give us the results. Staff said I could have an appointment in one month to discuss. How could I be expected to wait a month for test results? Two follow up physicians have requested our records and they will not provide them. The faxed request were confirmed received. Abby the office manager has been no help at all. Total lack of compassion and professionalism from this doctor and the entire staff.
Wonderful experience, has taken the time to explain everything and answer all the questions we have, I am very comfortable going into surgery with her.
My experience with Dr. Massarotti has been a nightmare. I was supposed to have a hemorrhoidectomy to remove my internal and external hemorrhoids. After my first bowel movement I felt something the size of a golf ball come out of me. The nurse on call tells me it’s a “blood clot” and that it’ll go down (really? ok). After a week of having level 10 pain, I schedule a follow appointment to see if what I’m experiencing is normal. During this appointment I find out that Dr. M didn’t even take out my internal hemorrhoid. WHEN WAS SOMEONE SUPPOSED TO TELL ME??! Of course she sends an RN to do her dirty work. I demanded answers from Dr. M and what I got was a bull****, sugarcoated answer. My internal hemorrhoid was the MAIN reason I needed surgery. Now my condition is WORSE than before this awful surgery and I have to start all over again. But it won’t be with her! Dr. Massarotti is a careless, untrustworthy doctor.

one of the worst dr's I have ever been to! dragged me for over a year in pain, several very costly tests for no reason, said nothing was wrong, well she was WRONG! I went to another surgeon had surgery right away, you want nice? nice gets you dragged along for over a year. will be filing a huge complaint against her, terrible way to do business with peoples bodies, shame on her! dont go to her if you are in pain because she just doesnt care....
I had an extremely good experience with Dr. Massarotti. I would recommend her to anyone needing surgery of this type. I'm going to steal a sentence from R. Weiss because it's a perfect description. "Dr. Massarotti is an extremely professional, intelligent, kind and very caring physician." She has the best bedside manner I've seen in my 67 years of life.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
