Jennifer Gerard's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Gerard was my medical doctor at encompass health. She was recommend by my doctors at Clevelend clinic. She was fabulous. She explained all details of my stroke and management. She came and saw me everyday and listened to all my concerns. She is a wonderful knowledgeable physician. I was so happy to have been her patient.

Dr. Gerard is a wonderful physician. She implemented her treatment plans based upon evidence based practice and spent time evaluating her patients carefully instead of slapping on a generic diagnosis. As a bedside nurse who has worked by her side, I have seen her save hundreds of lives and work tirelessly to better patient outcomes. Hospital medicine is difficult and often thankless, but she never wavered. The truth is sometimes hard to hear, but you will always get honesty from Dr. Gerard.

She is a great physician. She is kind, compassionate, extremely knowledgeable, and a great listener. She is highly recommended. Thank you for taking such great care of my father while he was in the hospital.

She is the epitome of someone who chose the wrong profession. She does not do her job well, or with care, in any way. I was a patient of hers while admitted to Cleveland Clinic in Indian River County. Her treatment of me was beyond unacceptable. She never fully read charts to know what was or had been truly going on, she only based it off the moment she interacted with you. Missing the mark in my overall care completely. When I chose to be released from the hospital and receive home care instead, because I simply was not getting better while in their, she treated me like a drug seeking addict when prescribing the pain pills required for my release. I had been receiving hydro morphine, which I knew would stop once I was released, and could have continued to receive that if I stayed. She instead gave me something I felt wasn’t strong enough as an alternative and when I requested something stronger she refused to even listen to me, quite literally. While on bed rest, under her care, I was not only never given directions or help to walk, I was not given stomach shots to prevent clotting until I spoke up, nor did I receive the leg compression that should have been part of my regular treatment. I fear for anyone else under her care and am fearful of ever receiving care from her again. She shouldn’t be allowed to practice in the health field in any way.
