I moved to Vero Beach in January of 2021 and started seeing Dr Fortunato soon after. I had numerous minor and several severe health care problems. Mr. Fortonato worked diligently with helping me address all my different issues. He was very patient, kind and one of the best physicians, I personally have ever been under in the VA health care system. Unfortunately that’s not what the typical VA healthcare system provides. It’s really just another seriously broken federal agency unfortunately. I know a lot of Veterans that will sincerely miss him and his care. I sincerely hope he starts his own practice in the local area.

Dr. Fortunado was my primary care physician from childhood until I moved away after college. He always listened to me(not just my list of symptoms) and I went on to get my education in the medical field in part because I looked up to him so much.He was always able to make me feel heard and respected and make everything "all-better"-just as GREAT doctors are supposed to do. I only wish that now I could find another primary care physician that I trust with my life as I trusted Dr. Fortunato. To me, he will always be Dr. Mike. Thank you:)
