Jason Gorscak's Online Review Report Card

FYI I was diagnosed with cataracts but he said that they weren't ready at that time...Fast forward right before he left the eye institute he was gone for 2 years. So I went to another Opthomologist and he told me there was no signs of cataracts. WTH????? Never thought I would have to get another opinion regarding this. Opthomology 101 how do you misdiagnosed something like this $$$$$$ just saying

Sold me on the beat cataracts which money goes into his pocket and charges Ins co for placement. I did not Qualfy fot the Best lenses and cannot read and have major problem seeing BEWARE. Go to Bascom Palmer for a real Dr that does not SELL you on the best lenses which you do not qualify in the first place. Once done cannot Fix. He is Geedy for money out of pocket!!! Many clients had the same problem. Stay away

My experience with Dr Gorscak was great. My cataract surgery was excellent. Today I went to my six months check up and found out he was no longer in the Florida Eye . Nobody care to give me information of where could I find him. The new doctor is very nice, but I want to find Dr Gorscak

Misdiagnosed the severity of my condition and underestimated the risks and outcome of my procedure. Then the best he could say is that he was sorry, there was nothing more he could do, and I should consult a surgeon colleague of his again to be sure he (the colleague) couldn't correct the problem with additional surgery. He had to get back to his patients. He destroyed my life as I knew it. Vision went from 20/30 to 20/80. I have no depth perception, blurriness, double vision, and loss of equilibrium because I can't see to walk. I can't work in my capacity or safely drive. I can't even do simple outdoor home maintenance. Then to add insult to injury, insurance wouldn't cover it so I'm still paying for for his misjudgment and all he is concerned with is his waiting patients. Really? In my opinion, my life was destroyed by this man and all he is worried about is his bottom line. State complaints will follow.

Spent $9,000.00 getting top of the line lens implants and cataract surgery. Months later I still have burry vision and now developed dry eyes. Hard to drive in the dark. He told me he doesn't know what else to do for me and I should get a second opinion. The office is still mailing me invoices.

I saw Dr. Gorscak for the 2nd time in about a 7 year span because Dr. Randy Katz was on vacation. I was as displeased with him the 2nd time as I was the 1st. He is cursory and appears uncaring. As much as I like Dr. Katz, I think I will change to a new practice.

I saw Dr. Gorscak for pain and redness in my eye and was told I had Inflammation. He prescribed a steroid drop 4 times a day for a week and 2 times a day for another week. At the end of the second week, the pain and redness and now loss of vision came back with a vengeance . I called the office to come in, and was simply told to continue the drops for 2 more weeks. I then consulted another opthalmologist and was told I had uvitis. I was informed I needed close follow up along with aggressive treatment with the steroid drops. My condition is improving now that I have proper care.

I saw Dr. Gorscak for inflammation in my eye. He prescribed a steroid drop 4 times a day for one week and 2 drops a day for another week with no follow up app. At the end of the second week, the inflammation came back with a vengence. I called the office to come in and was told to simply continue the drops for another two weeks. After consulting another opthalmologist, I was informed I had uvitis and that follow up at least weekly was necessary along with more aggressive therapy with the steroid drops. My condition is improving now that I have proper care.

I received a complete exam, Dr Gorscak spend plenty of time and reviewed everything with me in detail. I would definitely recommend.
