Ramprasad Gopalan's Online Review Report Card

Great guy, very helpful

Dr. Gopalan literally saved my life. I can't even express in words how grateful I am to him. Eight years ago, I was brought to the ER with what they thought were severe 'flu-like' symptoms. However within an hour they became so severe that I was admitted to the ICU. Dr. Gopalon was just doing his usual rounds that evening, but saw my blood spotted feet when passing by and immediately recognized it as Bacterial Mengititis. He immediately grabbed the appropriate IV medication off another non-urgent patient's cart and administered it to me.. Without him I would have died or at least, like most most Bacterial Mengititis patients, lost limbs. He is the hero in my life, and I wish I had the words to describe the care, brilliance and compassion he showed me.

I was admitted into Palms West for foot ulcer. I was assigned Dr. Gopalan as an Infectious Disease Dr. He was aggressive in a great way as determining what it was and what treatment was to follow. Over the course of time I returned home and had contact with his office and his Nurse Practitioner Maria. She is personable, wonderful to speak with, she listens and I just found her a terrific person and a wonderful asset to Dr. Gopalan's office. Thanks to you all!!!

I was assigned this group after surgery for a periprosthetic infection (osteomyelitis). The first Dr. that came to see me was rude. I was put on IV Vancomycin for 6 weeks which must be closely monitored to maintain a therapeutic level. In the 3 weeks that I was on the drug, I was therapeutic for ONE of FIVE blood draws. I was in the hospital again for five days and saw a different different doctor each day. I mentioned rash on my back. No one ever looked at it. I has additional side effects (ringing in ears, headache, fullness in head & ears and low blood pressure) Went to a different ID doctor and was taken off of the vancomycin immediately and put on a different antibiotic. All of the aforementioned symptoms have since dissipated. Unfortunately, the three weeks that I was on the Vanco which was poorly monitored by this ID group were ineffective and I must be treated with another six weeks of IV antibiotics. Very poor practice!

Excellent physician. Took my call from the outside of an excursion to a cave in Mexico!!! He saved my life. I was terrified of falling ill in the middle of no where. It turns out I had the beginning of a communicable disease that's prevalent on cruise ships. He gave me the peace of mind to get through it.

Wonderful care and kindness. Highly recommend this facility.

Wouldn't answer my questions. Was pri.ary Dr. while I was in the hospital for 6 days. Spoke with him a total of maybe 4 minutes. Terrible office staff, and condition. Avoid this one

I ran into things that are making be seriously concerned with their office. - I will update you more after my appointment: 1) person taking appointments totally botched my name spelling and birth date and therefore records were not applied to to the proper person 2) My medical records had to be sent 2 and 3 times by the respective labs, and doctors office and required twice as many follow ups to be sure they received them 3) Faxes and online forms are routed through India PRIOR to US office.

GREAT DOCTOR WITH EXCELLENT BEDSIDE MANNER. VERY VERY EDUCATED AND SMART MAN.
