Stacea Bowen's Online Review Report Card

Dr Bowen is a compassionate professional. She cares about her patients. I feel very comfortable during my visits.

I have been a patient of Dr. Bowen for a few years. I was pregnant recently with my first child. I asked her 2+ months prior to my delivery if I could go out of town for a baby shower that was 3-4 weeks prior to my due date and she said I could. While I was out of town (only about 2 hours away), my water broke and had to have an emergency c-section. I set up my post pardum appt with her like I was told to do by the hospital. I go in for my appt and was refused service. This type of behavior has been a pattern with her throughout my pregnancy. She snapped at me at my first visit when I asked a question. She has been rude, short tempered, and not flexible with scheduling even though her office hours are until 5pm, she never wanted to schedule anyone after 2pm. She even told me to miss work because her personal schedule was more important than anyone else’s schedule. While her staff is great, she is the worst. Go see anyone else if you can!

I have been a patient of Dr. Bowen since 2019 and have only had good experiences with her treatment and care. She answers any questions I have in a professional and caring manner. I cannot vouch for her care before, during, and after giving birth as I already had my son when I became a patient of hers, but I would recommend her to anyone seeking an OBGYN.

Not a nice person period. She doesn’t seem to have a clue how developing a relationship with patients and empathy go a long distance in patient care. The staff was very nice. Bewildering how such a devoted staff can work with such a difficult personality.

My visit with docteur Bowen was amazing.

Dr. Bowen has ZERO bedside manners. While going through an unmedicated natural birth, she yelled, criticized and "corrected" me. She then went on to say she was furious about doing a delivery so late on a Friday night because her children were waiting for her. She absolutely ruined my birthing experience and put me and my son at risk and I ended up needing a C-section because of her lack of knowledge and compassion about the outcome of my child.

Dr. Bowen always takes her time and addresses all my questions and concerns. She won't prescribe medication until she's sure I won't have an adverse reaction. We shouldn't expect anything less from our caretakers. A brief story: My insurance was expiring at the end of the year and I scrambled to get the scans I needed for a prescription. I had a New Year's Eve appointment, the last of the day, and nothing was going smoothly. My results hadn't been faxed, I was grieving a loss in my personal life, and my employment situation was precarious. I sat in her office and cried and Dr. Bowen was so calm and kind and reassuring. She took her time, helped me order a 3-month supply of meds so I wouldn't run out before my new insurance kicked in, and never once made me feel like her attention was on anything but me.

I would never recommend this dr. They canceled on me 3 times and every time I had to wait more than 3 week for my reschedule. I had a surgery and they canceled my follow up and NEVER called me back to reschedule. WORSE DR EVER!!

Dr. Bowen traumatized my daughter. She has had 15 surgeries as a result of Dr. Bowen's neglect. This doctor is rude, cold, harsh and incompetent. She should not be allowed to practice!

I wish I left this review years ago. This woman hurt me so badly when getting a pelvic exam that I was crying. No one even remotely asked me if I was okay or tried to comfort me. Everyone was just staring at me. This doctor also criticized me for the amount of sexual partners I had, which is INSANE. At the time of my appointment I had been in a long term monogamous relationship, so it’s not like I was sleeping with lots of people carelessly. Not that it matters because I was a freaking adult going in for a PAP smear. The fact that she had even asked about something so irrelevant should have been a huge red flag for me. They tried to charge me 5 TIMES my appointment copay. I am legitimately traumatized from this experience and sadly haven’t been able to bring myself to a gyno since.
