Had a CARE LESS ATTITUDE & in the END ...WRONG DIAGNOSIS. A COMPLETE JERK .. which MATCHED his CARE LESS ATTITUDE. I even Contacted My REFERRAL DOCTOR (who's Known ME for YRS) 2 NOT SEND ANYONE ELSE 2 HIM. I've found that MOST of The MEDICAL PROFESSION ONLY Seems 2 CARE about MONEY & even MORE MONEY. But WHAT Goes AROUND...does EVENTUALLY ...COME AROUND ..so DOCTORS like STEVEN SACKS will get THEIRS .. in DUE TIME. GOD calls it *VENGEANCE is THINE.* HOPEFULLY their MEDICAL NEEDS will be ADDRESSED with the SAME CARE LESS ATTITUDE as was GIVEN & that HE/OTHERS like HIM will be VIEWED/TREATED in the END as a DOLLAR SIGN. & in the END their HEALTH ISSUES/CONCERNS are NOT ADDRESSED PROPERLY as was GIVEN. SOME have NO BUSINESS being IN HEALTHCARE ...yet these are the SAME PAWNS who'll COME UNGLUED or are VERY IMPATIENT when their NEEDS AREN'T ADDRESSED. NEVER THINKING Nor QUESTIONING their UNPROFESSIONAL SERVICE. It'll ALWAYS be .. WHAT OTHERS LACK & NOT of THEMSELVES
Terribly incompetent office and a nightmare to work with. Was referred there for a simple routine colonoscopy. It is bad enough that office staff rarely answers the phone and does not return calls, but I was given a quote as a self-pay patient and fees were increased three times AFTER I PAID MY CONSULT FEE. I was expected to just continue with scheduling and pay the extra few hundred dollars AS WELL AS proceed without disclosure of further fees being billed by the surgical center. First, how does a practice not honor what they quote a patient for a routine procedure and increase fees, three times in a matter of weeks. That is taking advantage of a patient because they already paid some money and are invested to continue. Second, how is it acceptable to be told "you will be billed for remaining fees but we don't know what that will be". Third, the energy trying to follow up and resolve this was enormous, all because there is poor response to phone calls, voicemails, emails. It's very frustrating. Dr. Sachs seemed like a very nice man when I met him, but he chooses employ unreliable staff and he chooses to use a poorly run surgical center who provides patients with misinformation and nasty customer service. It is unacceptable that Dr. Sachs throws his hands up, claiming it is not his fault that other people are providing this level of service. He assumes no responsibility, saying that he has no control over the facility that he chooses to practice at. Yet, he is subjecting his patients to this level of service and incompetence. After several pleas to work through all the nonsense and getting nowhere, I choose to cancel the procedure (in advance, not last minute). No patient can proceed confidently after this. I asked Dr Sachs to refund me the $260 consult fee that I had to put out (which consisted of less than 5 min of time to simply ask if there was any medical history then handed me off to scheduling) and he refused. He refuses to recognize his responsibility to his patients to properly and fully inform them and clearly does not care about a patient's sense of trust in the services being provided. I paid $260 for 5 min of time for him to simply confirm what was already documented, that I had no medical history - there was no exam or medical service. It is money out the window since I have to go to another doctor and start all over. It is appalling that he refused to refund the consult fee in the interests of decency and courtesy. All so he can keep $260 in his pocket for 5 min of time. I feel terrible for the patient coordinator Xenia who works there. She really is a wonderful lady and tried hard to assist with this situation, but she is at the mercy of poor office management and a money-loving doctor.
Dr Sacks has tunnel vision. He only see's what he wants to see. Dr Sacks ONLY goes on what shows up in Colonoscopy result. He will not even consider anything else. IF you need a Dr that thinks outside the box and will consider everything to help you, then he is NOT the Dr for you. Not everything is straight forward and by the book. Find a Dr that will consider any and all reason for your symptoms.
He was very nice and explained everything well. He needs to speak with his coding and billing department because they coded my very first colonoscopy wrong and now I am stuck with an $800+ bill. I even escalated the matter with my insurance company and spoke with the supervisor in the billing department. From what I was told, the American Gastroenterological Association agrees that a positive Cologuard test AND a first time colonoscopy are to be considered prescreening. His office refused to change the coding on my insurance claim and now I am completely at my wits end and am left to pay this bill... This is not right!
Seriously the worst experience ever! No compassion/ not interested in hearing your thoughts symptoms or concerns! Needs to retire! Miserable person! Read the bad reviews they are exactly what I experienced good reviews must be family! Stay way there are many other compassionate Dr’s to chose from!
Called my mother’s huge hard belly irritable bowel. Finally sent for scan — ovarian cancer stage 4
Absolutely incompetent staff. My father, an established patient, was in the hospital for gastro issues. Dr Sacks refused to come to the hospital for a "consult" because he didn't do "consults", My dad was an established patient. The tests results from Dr Sacks were not sent to the hospital until late in the day despite having been asked 3 times. The office manager thinks it's a pretty funny thing to be told that Dr Sacks refused to come because he goes to the hospital "a lot". Unfortunately, my dad died, not because of them necessarily, but they did not help at all. Save yourself the bad results you will get from these people. There are other, way more compassionate & excellent doctors, available.
I wish there was a minus star rating. Zero compassion, zero competence. My father saw him once & as supposed to get the results of a test. He missed the appointment because he was in the hosital. We asked Dr Sacks to see him in the hospital as he was there due to the issues for whichDrSacks was following, REFUSED to come. Go to a Dr that has a better staff & is more caring. My father passed away but not only is there no word from them but still refuse to give me the test results. THE WORST!
I needed a colonoscopy. I had never had one and I was scared to death. Dr. Sacks explained in detail everything that he would do and how it would all be done under general anesthesia at the fabulous North Point surgery center. He was absolutely correct. There was no pain and the treatment I received from the staff and from Dr. Sacks coulod not have been of higher caliber.
Dr. Sacks is an excellent doctor. He diagnosed my health issue. It is very unfortunate that the personnel working in his office do not follow-up with the patient. I had a test done, which came out to be positive. I found out because I checked the patient portal. I never received a courtesy call to let me know my test results. I left numerous messages to his assistant and did not get back to me promptly. A few days later my pharmacy notified me that I had prescriptions called in. So I'm figuring out it's because of my test?? Maybe their patients are not valuable to them or they don't need more business.
