List of Florida Medical Clinic - Pediatrics's Reviews
Never have I had such a runaround for medical care, information, health records, etc. I will make every effort to avoid Florida Health Clinic at all costs. This is what happens when healthcare becomes a big business and all they care about is the bottom line. If I could give it zero stars, I would.
Called for appointment for my wife said they were taking new appointments we have insurance it is July the first appointment January 18th 2024 because she is new patient why say you are accepting new patients if you wait 7 months for appointment the heath care in this country has hit rock bottom since Obama if you have zero heath care they put you to front of line because then the doctors are paid by government at twice the price as insurance.so I guess if my wife gets sick we will be going to emergency room at twice the price let my insurance pay for emergency bill
Im giving 2 stars because the Doctor I saw was thorough and sweet, and I am sure she has minimal input on the administrative end and doesnt deserve a bad review. This place has fraudulent billing practices. I came in after relocating from out of state to establish care with a new doctor. They billed my incurance over $220 for a visit that should have been covered under preventive since I came in with no complaints. The reason? They have a policy that a new patient visit can never be preventive. So the doctor did all of the normal physical exam, cholesterol checks, thyroid labs, that is considered preventative care and fully covered under the affordable care act-- and the practice bills this under a sick visit. They should be reported for insurance fraud.
I had been going to this place for years. The past 3 years it has gone downhill. Staff has poor communication skills, the past 2 times I asked for a refill on my birth control they would give me a different excuse every time I would call. I ended up a week overdue. Also, every time I make a appointment they book me several months out and when I'm there the lobby is empty, still some how I have to wait over an hour? It doesn't make any sense. save the time and energy to go somewhere else.
There is a strong chance they will take your money, do nothing for you and tell you common sense things you already knew, then push in-network doctors on you...
Here we go again. Routine blood work appointment. Every single time I come here I have to wait over an hour. It's just a joke at this point. This place needs more staff or some pep in their step. Just ridiculous.
The front desk staff come off very rude. They're short and cut you off when you're speaking. $120 for no insurance. I was the First one here this morning, but the last to be seen. There was all of 4 people in the office but it look an hour to even get through the door to speak to someone about simple antibiotics. After waiting awhile, I was finally seen by Doris and her back up's, who were EXTREMELY DISRESPECTFUL. The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth. FORTUNATELY, I won't be returning. There's many clinics on the same street.
I had back surgery about 4 1/2 months ago now and had gone to physical therapy for 6 weeks. John Weygand and Ken (I do not know his last name) They are the very best. They are so gentle with you and do not push you to do more than you can. They have a terrific personality and are easy to talk to. They make sure you get all the PT you need for your problems and do not leave you alone. I feel very lucky to have had them both. Because of the back surgery, they were very careful where my back was concerned. John told me after the 6 weeks I did therapy with them, mentioned he didn't want to push me and so he told me he wanted me to take a break from PT and come back within a couple of months. I then had a problem with my right shoulder. I had it x-rayed and it showed I had a rotator cuff tear. I got the referral I needed and John took care of me. I did this for probably 3 weeks but because of my back, I wasn't feeling good enough to do PT now for the shoulder. My back was bothering me more so I decided I will wait a little longer and go back to them. If you need PT, by all means, ask for John or Ken. I am sure all the other therapists are terrific, but I will always wait for John or Ken.
I went in to get a procedure done at the Urology clinic, and Dr. Brent Sullivan refused to treat me after I waited 6 months for this appointment. My appointment was for 9am, and i was finally going to be seen at almost 10:30am. (It was 10:22am). There was no apology for the wait, just condescending and rude remarks from him and the nurse Natalie. When I asked what was taking so long, Natalie just said, "He has other patients". They shouldn't double-book if that's really the case. I can understand waiting 15 minutes, but an hour and a half? What bullshit. And then the doctor asked Me how I was, so I said I was a little frustrated for having waited so long. He wouldn't even listen to my answer and kept talking over me, saying, "Well, how long should it take?" in a sarcastic, rude, condescending tone. He then said, "We're done. We're not doing this. You can leave." Keep in mind, this is all being said when I have no pants on for the procedure. I started bawling since I have to find a new doctor, and it took me 6 months for this appointment and it was affecting my performance at work being in the bathroom so much. They also left the cream or whatever they put inside me for the procedure. I then asked to speak to someone to complain, and the receptionists didn't even seem to care that I was crying. They didn't apologize for what happened or anything. I was then given a phone number to call, and I had to wait on hold to report him. The person I reported him to had a rude tone and just kept telling me to "calm down". She told me that I would probably be receiving a call back for someone to talk to me about my god-awful experience. I never received a call. I got a letter today, expecting an apology, but it was actually a letter from the doctor saying he wouldn't treat me anymore. What a slap in the face. This experience was dehumanizing. I will NEVER go back there. Do yourself a favor, and don't go there.
I am not a fan of Florida Medical Clinics and after the experience I have had here I will not use Florida Medical in the future! One of many reasons is that you can't talk directly to the Drs. office! Drs. do not answer their phones, it is the call center you must talk to! And there are many other reasons but not today!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
