List of Joseph Cozzolino's Reviews
I have been a patient for 20+ years & so has my husband. Dr. Cozzolino has always provided us with excellent care& is always very kind. We are both in our late 70’s.
My husband has been a patient of Dr. Cozzolino's for a year and a half. After a positive COVID test, he called Cozzolino's office at 3 p.m. to get a prescription for Paxlovid. He was told Dr. Cozzolino would call back. It's now 7 pm and the doctor has neither called back nor phoned in a prescription. This is especially appalling because my husband is immune-compromised from cancer.
When I recently requested a refill for my non-narcotic migraine medication, as I have done for several years with him and another 15 + years from previous doctors, he REFUSED, claiming that suddenly it was causing my recent bout of constipation, and that I'm "better off" suffering from excruciating migraine pain than that from a little constipation, referring me to a neurologist instead. The first one he referred me to isn't taking any new patients and the second one can't see me for nearly 5 months, and when informed of this he gives me another list of neurologists to "try" to get in to see! In the meantime I'm left seeking help at the local E.R. for my pain and suffering! Newsflash doc, there are numerous OTC help for constipation that work quite well, ZERO for migraines! The very least that you could do is to continue with my migraine meds or a safer alternative until I can get into see a neurologist! Apparently that's too much to ask... So feel free to cancel all of my future appointments with your office!
My husband had his initial appointment with him which was supposed to be his preventative physical visit (no copay). However, they billed it as an office visit new patient and he walked in the room and saw him for 2 minutes ordered labs and left. Then set up a follow up appointment which is now considered the physical “preventative” appointment and is free as they call it. Now you have wasted my time and billed my insurance twice. My husband’s second appointment Dr. Cozzolino never addressed his abnormal labs yet said all his labs were normal, nor did he address what he wrote down he was concerned about. He talked to his watch Siri the whole time. He barely said two words. And was out of the room in 5 minutes. Probably the worst dr I’ve ever encountered. I am a medical professional myself who attend to patients and couldn’t believe the treatment I saw. You’re just a number to him and he’s just billing insurance for money.
When going in as a new patient for a preventative visit, be expected to be charged as a new patient office visit. He will come in for 2 minutes order labs and have you come back for your “preventative” visit. Now, this is your “free” visit. He has now got to claims in with your insurance. He has no bedside manner, told me my labs were normal, when they were abnormal. In the questionnaire, addressed some health concerns in which he didn’t even bother to talk about. He talked more to his watch than me. It was a whole 5 minutes of two words and out the door he went.
Well it's been 20 years since he has been my family medicine practitioner. I couldn't ask for a better well-mannered, thoughtful doctor that listens to your concerns and questions . His guidance throughout the years has kept me on track.
Told I have to wait a month to see anyone in the office for an emergent issue. Gotta love those medical receptionist when you start seeing a lack of attention to details you starts to notice that the office is going down whether it’s because of turnover or exhausted physicians it doesn’t seem like FMC structure is built to care anymore.
I went without having a primary physician for years. I found Dr. Cozzolino by chance and am so glad I did. I have been with him for years now and wouldn't think of switching.
Dr Cozzolino is always thorough and listens to my concerns
I was wondering what you thought about Ozempic for weight loss and if it's good, can you prescribe it for me before I come in? My appointment isn't for another month.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
