I consulted Dr. Berck a few months ago for possible radiation treatment for breast cancer. I don’t remember feeling so uncomfortable with a provider before as I did with Dr. Berck. He walked in the room and after introducing himself He opened my gown and said “modesty should not be an issue anymore”. Seriously. So because I have breast cancer I should show my breast to everybody without any modesty. The way how he examined my breast made me feel so uncomfortable. During the consultation he was more worried about practicing his Spanish with me than my options for treatment. Before he left the room he looked at my husband and asked him if had any questions. But before that he asked him if he spoke English? I won’t never recommended Dr. Berck as your provider for cancer treatment.

Dr. Berk and the staff at Tampa General Oncologist were great during my radiation treatment. I’m so grateful to have had a great team attending me during this difficult time. So grateful for their attention, empathy and sympathy in attending their patients. Thank you all.

Pleasant and patient answered all my questions. Runs a first class radiation facility in Tgh cancer center and has a very professional, kind staff. Made the whole radiation experience favorable.

My father was recently diagnosed with glioblastoma — pretty grim news. Rather than give us an informative, helpful overview of my Dad’s treatment options, Dr. Berk gave us a few smug words. Dr. Berk’s general attitude was “uhh you can either do radiation/chemo if you want, or don’t — he’s dead anyway.” A good radio-oncologist can offer a grim treatment plan, but do so in an informative helpful way. Dr. Berk failed to do so.

Very disappointing experience being under his care and having radiation treatments done with 30 treatments. After concluding a 10 month follow up with him,that they missed two tumors.radiologist did not see them nor did he made no comment or apologies. Tumors are now out of control Now a bad situation had to go to Moffit be careful . The tumor that he treated in my head did not even go away he failed to accomplish that as well .
