List of Daniel Higgins's Reviews
Very rude and very unprofessional
Dr. Dan Higgins is an awesome, caring, personable, and very skilled professional surgeon. I'd recommend Dr. Dan Higgins with 10 stars if I could.
Removal of melanoma, and lymph nodes & skin grafting. He really took interest and sincerely cared about my concerns and how I was feeling. Very informative and gives detailed explanations. Friendly, Concerned and Caring attitude. Never met anyone like him! Thanks Doc for making my bad situation better.
Dr. Higgins performed bilateral inguinal hernia repair at Good Sam. I found Dr. Higgins to demonstrate all the qualities one would hope every surgeon would have. Highly skilled, excellent communicator, compassionate, gentle, and have years of experience. He was a master in the operation of the Da Vinci surgical system used for my procedure which allowed for minimal incisions/scaring and a short recovery period. In addition I required zero pain medication. Kudos to the doctors office staff that are amazing ladies.
Operated on my 80 year old mother on Friday. Today, Monday, my mom is having problems. Not only is Dr. Higgins office closed, but there is no one on call. NO ONE IN HIS OFFICE SAID THE OFFICE WOULD BE CLOSED ALL WEEK AFTER MY MOM'S SURGERY. Not to mention that he is rude and abrasive, does not take the time to answer questions. Treats us like we are bothering him. Stay away from this doctor.
Terrible bedside manner. My 80 yr old mom had surgery 3 days ago. Dr. Higgins treated us like we were annoyances in his day. It is Monday morning at 10:19 am and his office is closed. Tried to reach an on-call doctor and the phone system keeps disconnecting. I can't get a hold of this doctor 3 days after my mom had surgery. DON'T GO TO THIS MAN.
I was at 2 different emergency rooms 1 being the West Palm Beach VA hospital . And was seen by 3 different doctors. All Stated I needed surgery Amediately. The police at the West Palm Beach VA hospital literally told me to get off the property. And I was not creating any disturbance. Finally through the VA I was placed in The Choice program Which gave me the opportunity to research and pick and choose my own doctor. DR. Daniel Higgens was my choice. Literally I have the state, between doctor Higgins and his staff they saved my life. In all my life I've had a lot of medical procedures I have never been cared for more tenatively more professionally and With genuine compassion than I did with my hernia operations, Yes that's plural during my examination by doctor Higgins I found a second one and repair that with the surgery, that I so desperately needed. Thank you everyone may God-bless you all. So everybody and including all you veterans that need surgery please please consider doctor Higgins and his staff for your care and treatment.
Wonderful experience from start to finish. Office staff very pleasant and professional. Dr Higgins personable and professional. Surgery was flawless at Good Samaritan hospital. Hospital staff were wonderful as well. I would suggest this doctor and Good Samaritan hospital to anyone needing surgery. I had a robotic inguinal hernia operation performed by Dr Higgins.
Doctor Higgins is very good and explains everything about the issue and what to expect with the surgery and healing process. As for his office staff, Lorraine was excellent. Extremely personable and made the process simple. Thanks
Although an excellent surgeon, his bedside manner ranges from informative, to annoyed if asked a number of questions, to demeaning. My mother got through both biopsies and subsequent surgeries with him, however our follow up appointments were uncofortable and the follow up care was poor as she developed seromas that required draining, which appeared to irritate him that he has to continue seeing her after the surgery was done. The staff is very friendly; however the physician has poor "caring"

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
