I’m not a patient here but I wanted to leave a quick review about a wonderful receptionist called Betsy I spoke on the phone with. She was patient kind and answered all my questions courteously. They are lucky to have her

Great doctor w good staff Making appointments are usually easy. Doctor is also relatable and understanding

I only gave one star because it doesn’t allow me to give zero. My 16 year old daughter was admitted to the psychiatric ward at JFK last night. I was told the Psychiatrist would give me a call today and I got nothing. I called the hospital myself and the nurse asked for my consent to give my daughter treatment which I did. Now it is 930 pm and they still have not given my daughter her medication yet. She is on antidepressants and cannot stop taking them. I was then told Dr. Thys must speak to me for my consent before they can give her medication but he hasn’t reached out or returned my callsMy daughter has been there for over 24 hours and the doctor has yet to call me This is my daughters life on the line and “Dr” Thys really doesn’t seem to have any consideration. How unprofessional and negligent on his part. My daughter is in a mental health facility against my will because “it’s for her own good” and she hasn’t got the help she needs yet

1 Star is too much of this doctor. From the receptionist to waiting almost 3 hrs they are extremely rude. After calling last month to see if I can reschedule the incompetent snobby receptionist caught an attitude because I want to know why they were not excepting appointments until June. Needless to say I canceled my appointment and went to another doctor who can Breyer suit my needs.

The psychiatrist is very good but the office staff were so terribly rude and disorganized that I ended up needing to switch psychiatrists. Plus the office was very far from where I live anyway.

Excellent customer service Dr Thys is an excellent provider

Absolutely AWFULMet him inpatient the first time. Didnt know what he was doing THEN.Managed to request another Dr. the next time a few yrs. later.Thought things might be better if in private practice. NOTReceptionist was anything but receptive. After that visit with some med changes I was in the hospital within 10 days His staff wouldnt make a follow up appointment anytime soon and tried to charge me $150.00 out of pocket to do soSteer clear

The woman who does the appointments is very very rude

I was ecstatic I was able to be seen as a new patient so soon. All of the doctors I called were scheduling so far out. The receptionist was so helpful and understanding to my circumstances. Dr. Thys is by far the most caring doctor Ive seen by far. Ive recommended my best friend to see him also.

I would give negative stars if it were an option. This man is a disgrace and disappointment. He will cut corners to avoid doing extra paperwork instead of assisting people get the help they need. The office staff are extremely rude and not helpful He has no interest in long term well being or communicating and working with families to help patients get treatment. This man and his receptionist makes me sick and he should be ashamed.
