List of Gil Fernandez's Reviews
Dr. Tanabe was rude and unprofessional, and he acted completely uninterested in my problems. He does not care about the patients he sees and spent maybe 30 seconds in my room. Awful experience.
Horrible experience. I had an injury so bad that their doctor took one look at it, said I couldn’t be treated there, to get me to an emergency room immediately, and he left the room to get me released. Instead of listening to their own doctor and putting patient care first, they took 45 minutes more to print up definitions of laceration (not kidding!) that I could find on google. They did not treat me at all, but then charged $150. By the time I got to the hospital, the doctors were shocked by my MD Now experience. They said that had it been much longer my hand injury (several tendons and nerves) would be irreversible. Fortunately my credit card company accepted my dispute of the charge... this is definitely not the place to go for urgent care! They will make matters worse by adding stress and bills to your emergency situation.
I was extremely impressed by the front office staff and the medical assistant that did the initial intake they were professional, thorough and very welcoming. Vincent was superb. My experience went down hill from there. When the Practitioner came in to evaluate me never introduced himself. He did not do a thorough assessment other than is this where it hurts pointing his finger at my visibly bruised& swollen injury and sent me to get an x-ray.After completing the x-ray he came back into the room and told me he was unable to give me a definitive answer if it was a fractured or sprained, But the radiologist will be in contact with me giving me the impression it would be the same day. I was not given an estimation of when I’d hear from the radiologist. Today is day 3 since I went to the urgent care I still have not heard from anyone in regards to the results there are no results in their system nor patient records. I went online and found the discharge instructions where I found out that the practitioners name was Dr. Herman. I would never suggest this doctor to anyone I didn’t even think he was a physician. He didn’t have a badge, he never acknowledge me as a human being. He didn’t know that I’ve been a practitioner for many years I chose to go there because I am working on a travel assignment I needed a quick X-ray & wanted to just be seen immediately.I have been to other MDNows and have had amazing experiences, especially the cypress location. I am Extremely disappointed by this whole experience and have been waiting to provide a survey but couldn’t wait any longer. It’s sad that some people do not truly care about what they do they just show up for a paycheck, based off of my experience Dr.Herman was solely there for a paycheck not because he loves patient care.
I had to pay my deductible which I understand because it’s my insurance, however no one called to see how I’m doing. The medication I was prescribed has made me really sick and in order for them to give me something for the nausea which is being caused by the prescribed medication, I have to pay over $150 AGAIN.. MD now my problems are worse!
Some of the worst case of lying to a patient.. didn’t like my tone of voice so they called the police.. wouldn’t send my enemies there
I can’t believe that I have to write this but it blows my mind! I began having an asthma attack at work and drove myself to this MD Now location. Upon walking in the door with labored breathing I was asked to put a mask on. Now realizing that I had left mine at work I asked if they had any and the girl at the desk said that they are not allowed to hand out COVID masks and then refused to help me as I am struggling to breathe. Safe to say I will never use an MD Now location again and advise anyone looking for actual medical treatment to go elsewhere
First time going here the doctor prescribed me an antibiotic that I was allergic to and the allergy was in my chart, had a severe allergic reaction and ended up back at another urgent care. Second time was with my fiancé who got covid tested, the nurse practitioner told us that covid wasn’t real and that he’d prescribe him an antibiotic but that we should throw it away at home. Three days later, no covid test results and when we called to make sure that it was even sent to the lab they didn’t have an answer for us she and needed to speak with her manager first. Sketchy providers - do not recommend.
Perhaps this place isn’t that bad if you’re doing everything in one visit and don’t have to come back. I had a blood test done, got 1 call a few days later leaving a message but then no follow-up after that. 1 and done with their call. When I called in and finally got through after being transferred / hung up on twice - I was told I’d have to check in in order to go over my results and what they mean. Especially now with all the Covid tests going on at MD Now and potential positive cases. I’m surprised there’s no way to do this virtually. Having to go back to the location, check in and wait. Antiquated.
Went To md now because my foot was swollen and hurting me the doc saw x-ray I have a broken foot he gave me medicine and left and said to stay off the foot for 4 weeks never got papers for work had to go back and get them he says I don't need a cast..he didn't give more direction on how to care for my foot I had to go on you tube to know more ...Doc was good and knowledgable and staff was great.....other than that I had a great experience
Bad service. The staff was chit chatting on personal matters while they had my Mom and another patient wait an entire hour before servicing them. They were first and only 2 patients in the lobby when they opened. This is the second time I took her there and they did this. Poor management at the Front desk. This use to be a great location but now it has become very bad with customer service. The Physicians are great. It it just the front desk staff and the medical assistants move very slow.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
