Dr Ouanes is kind, knowledgable and very skilled. I remember him introducing himself as "JP one of the anesthesia doctors". He pulled a speaker out of his uniform and asked me what music I wanted to hear. He played my music and make me laugh during my nerve block. I felt calm and in good hands during the block. He had a group of students and young doctors working with him. The numbing medicine was actually quick and painless. I slept through the surgery and had a numb arm for the rest of the night. He explained what to expect and recommended Tylenol and Advil around the clock and I didn't end up needing to take the stronger pain pills. If I need surgery on this arm again, I'll tell my surgeon Dr Ouanes has to do the anesthesia.
