List of Marianne Carroll's Reviews
Dr. Carroll is very cool, I’ve been going to her for many years and have zero complaints. Beautiful office, friendly staff and I can there from my office.
I saw Dr Carroll to have a Fraxel treatment on my face and to have a minor tag removed from my chest. I ended up with hyperpigmentation blocks on my face and a dime-sized scar on my chest. Battling the results for 3 yrs now - confidence is shattered and thousands spent trying to fix the damage with the help of other providers and the derma panel at the University of Miami. Be weary of providers not taking the time to discuss your ethnicity or other factors that should determine what settings are used prior to procedures. Adding insult to injury - I’d originally purchased a 3 session package. After seeing the damage, we agreed I shouldn’t use the other two sessions. She refused to refund me for the unused sessions and instead suggested I get Botox with the credit. As if I’d trust enough to have any more work done in that office. I found her to be dismissive of my questions, rushed, and more interested in discussing her recent car purchase with her assistant than in discussing my history or treatment. Looking back, the flags were there, I just missed them.

I made an appointment through zocdoc as a new patient. Received text confirming my appointment today @12:20 pm dated (12/22/2022). Sign in at my zocdoc account just to make sure i don't have to do anything else. Left my work 30 minutes early just to make sure I get there on time and find a parking. Terrible parking, you have to pay of course so when I got there the door was lock and the girl let me in and told her I have an appointment, she say's I don't and the doctor is not in. She even said, we call you, I said NO you did not, you texted me that my appointment is confirmed for today. I worked in the medical office for 27 years, even though I don't do appointment they should at least email or call me ahead of time to tell me that doctor is not in. Zocdoc appointment and their appointment system should tied up together so they know that i was scheduled today. Bad service!! No glick on Zocdoc at all because we use it the same way and we can see who set up appointment through zocdoc. Marilyn Drula
I was able to get an appointment with Dr. Carroll very quickly. She is lovely, personable, friendly, and knowledgeable. She numbed a spot on my face and took a biopsy and I didn't feel a thing even the needle. She's fantastic.
My wife seen Dr.Carroll to get a mole removed and get a bad rash on her face treated the Dr refused to remove the mole on her body which is one of the reasons she came their then gave my wife an $600 prescription for cream which no insurance covers The girl at the desk told us that insurance doesn’t cover this prescription most of the time that if it’s to expensive that we should call back and we can get an alternative prescription. Well after calling and following up several times and getting promises that the doctor will call us back . We never received any call backs and the doctor was busy is the only explanation we had. So after a week my wife decided this Dr was a waste and we are going to both take our dermatology needs elsewhere since this doctor doesn’t seem to want to treat patients. Also we noticed they say they open at 8:30 am and nobody arrives till after 9am . Seems like they don’t care about their Buisness very much.
Dr. Carroll is caring and thorough, as well as intuitive--which I value in a doctor and professionals in general. After looking at my butterfly pattern rash, she suggested a test for Lupus, which I balked at. But after doing my own research, I decided to take her advice. My blood test was positive--I called to apologize, and made the appointment with a rheumatologist. My rheumatologist was also thorough, and did three more tests, concluding that although I have some Lupus symptoms and some positive test results, I do not have Lupus. I am grateful for the journey, however, because my daughter, because of my testing, got tested for her own symptoms, and may, indeed, have a complex autoimmune condition. She would not have pursued this without my situation, and being ready to have children, this has become life-altering. Dr Carroll's staff--Brittany and Kylie were also great.
Got there 10 minutes early great front staff .. all good but waiting 20 minutes a robe in a room so left . I'm also busy and have to take time off work so prefer people respect my time also for an appointment done a week before
After perusing a number of great reviews from seemingly satisfied patients, I decided to book an appointment with Carroll Dermatology. Upon arrival, there was no greeting, I was simply asked for my name and handed papers to fill out. The assistant Kylie walked me to my room where I waited for 40 minutes; an unacceptable wait time for an otherwise empty office. Nobody came to issue an apology or explain the wait time so I went to ask. At the desk, they explained that the doctor was caught up on a call although the office was dead silent. I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and waited for an additional 15 minutes. After nearly an hour of waiting, I made my way to the door to leave, and only then was I issued an insincere apology from an assistant as I exited after never seeing the doctor. I have no doubt in my mind that this mistreatment, perhaps better characterized as discrimination, was intentional and rooted in racism. If you are a person of color, spend your time and money with any other dermatologist.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
