Wonderful with a well run office.
The worst office staff! Rude, never return calls or call in scripts .
My mother has been a patient of Dr. Colburn's since 2009. My experience with Dr. Colburn has been diametrically the opposite of the negative comments below. We visit Dr. Colburn 4 times a year and my mother has gotten the best of care. One of the things I like best about her is that when we come for normal office visits the doctor always spends a great deal of time with the patient and me as the health care surrogate. She's caring and attentive, and is happy to answer all my questions patiently and thoroughly. When my mother suffered a broken pelvis in April 2014, Dr. Colburn came to see her at Good Sam hospital at 7:30 on a Saturday evening and stayed until 9:30 doing a thorough exam and treatment workup. She recognized that there was likely an undiscovered issue with inflammation that the in-house medical staff had missed and suggested a treatment plan that resulted in immediate reduction of pain. Dr. Colburn followed up with two other visits in the evening after usual business hours. My mother was always happy to see her. The doctor has always treated my mother with respect and care. I have found the staff to be courteous, attentive, and loving toward my mother, as well as responsive to my requests for information or forms assistance. Has it sometimes taken a few days to get requested non-essential forms? Sure, but that's the nature of the medical business. When things were required quickly, we got them quickly.
This doctor's office takes entirely too long to release medical forms and records. It is ridiculous that a GERIATRIC doctor expects an elderly person to wait more than two weeks for a simple form to be signed. The office manager, Barbara refused to get on the phone and discuss her lack of competence to properly run the doctor's office.
Excellent geriatric doctor who knows her profession as well as being caring, understanding, sympathetic to her patients's needs. I can only give Dr. Colburn the highest of praise.
Dr. Colburn has a well-rehearsed aura of efficiency and competence, starting with the prominently-displayed awards in the waiting room. It's easy to see how elderly dementia patients can be fooled by this act, together with the doctor's superficial charm. However, multiple visits have convinced me that this veneer of professionalism is entirely pretensious. On no fewer than 2 occasions she blamed the patient for her own omissions in oversight. And during one session she stormed out of room when asked to write a particular report. Instead of returning, she left us to find our own way out. Staff is extremely cold, almost hostile. Will be going back to our former primary care physician.
Arrogant and dismissive toward caregivers who the patient brings along.
My in-laws have seen her for a year and she has been great. Takes her time to answer all our questions. She also works well with other specialists.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
