Cindy Marika's Online Review Report Card

I have been a patient of Dr. Marika's for over 20 years. She is very thorough and has always given me excellent advice regarding my health. Unfortunately, she has cut back on her hours, so make an apt way in advance if you wish to see her specifically. Her PA, Julisa is also very good and more readily available.

Dr. Marika is great. Her office staff is unprofessional and uncaring. I didn't get a call ahead of time that my appointment got canceled until the day of my appointment. Of course, if it was the other way around, I would have been charged a cancelation fee. They would even work with me to get my labwork paper, so I didn't have to cancel my labwork appointment. At this point, I am extremely annoyed with her staff. I am seriously considering seeking care elsewhere. 11/9/22 - I decided to give it a try after leaving this office but all it did was reaffirmed what I said 2 years ago. The receptionist who sits at the window as you enter has gotten worse - very rude and lacks compassion and care. It's a shame! I like Dr. Marika and her PAs. I wish she could find a professional to run the front desk. Also, it would be nice to see her back in the office treating patients in person as opposed to Televisits. Disappointed once again.😠

Very disappointing! I have been going to this office for my entire adult life and went next door as a child. Dr. Marika and the Nurse Practitioners are GREAT! However, the office staff that is currently there now is horrible. JADE the office manager is extremely rude and does not understand or even care about patients needs. She speaks as if she is almost belittling the patient. She actually hung up on me after wanting to complain about being hung up on multiple times by office staff because they can not even transfer calls or put people on hold correctly. I never write reviews but this JADE person deserves one. I have not ever seen someone with her attitude working in a health care office. I assume she will not be there for long reading all the other comments about her if this office wants to keep there patients. I for one have changed my doctors office solely because of the staff.

I’ve been going to Dr Marika for 9 years now. As far as Doctors go she is Great, but you’re only as good as your staff. Which is the reason for this post. I came home from the hospital after having COVID being in there for 5 days and still felling pretty terrible, So I called my doctors office and spoke with Jade, well let me tell you she was the most amazing person I’ve ever dealt with over the phone. She was extremely helpful, she showed concern for me and totally went the extra mile to help me get what I needed. She truly was my Angel on earth. Without her I can honestly say I wouldn’t have recovered the way I did. Her relentless efforts to make sure I got what I need was incredible. So I say Thank you to Jade from the bottom of my heart and thank you to Dr. Marika for employing such an amazing Woman. Brooklyn Strong 💪🏼 Johnny Troia ❤️

New office staff is terrible, which is very upsetting because Julissa and Cindy Marika are very good. DO NOT count on this office for ANYTHING. JADE the new office manager is very unprofessional. I will never return to this office because of JADE. They absolutely need a different office manager to deal with patients needs correctly. Being that this office has been around many years you would think they would hire people that know how to be professional and speak to patients correctly. If you have been going to this office for many years like me, you will notice right away how things have changed for the worst with their new office manager JADE. I am truly hoping they will seek new employees; for they time being stay very far away from this doctors office if you expect professional care and to be treated as though your health actually matters to them.

Horrible experience with the new office manager JADE. Not only did she raise her voice with me very unprofessionally, she would not let me speak to who I was speaking with prior for my situation at hand whom told me something completely different. She completely made me feel like my health and well being was not important saying "they have other patients, and they do not have time for this." If you would like to go to an office that actually cares about your well being this is NOT the office for you. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE and JADE should NOT EVER be a MANAGER of ANYWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Horrible Office Staff!!!!!!! Stay away!!!!!!!! New office manager named Jade is soooo rude and gives zero regards about patients. The Office manager literally told me they do not have time for my issue, and I could not speak with the person in charge of referrals for the office because they're busy and they have other patients. Such a Horrific experience. As someone with depression & mental health issues, it is very hard for me to except my own doctors office telling me they do not have time for me or my medical needs, when trying to get a referral to see a specialist. When I called to speak with the person I was speaking with originally the day before, and this morning she said I could not speak with her because she is the office manager and she is handling it now. She did not handle it or answer my questions. I had to call back and give a fake name just so the office manager would connect me with who I needed to speak with, and then she got back on the phone and called me a liar when I was simply trying to speak to the person I originally spoke with who was actually trying to help me. The office manager did not let me speak and kept interrupting me and speaking over me which in turn became her yelling at me, which is beyond rude and so unbelievably unprofessional. I have been going to this office for years, as well as my family and I have never had these issues with anyone; now that they have this new office manager Jade everything has gone downhill.

Dr Marika is been my doctor for more than 20 years. Nurse Practitioner Julisa Rosa is also great. Everyone there is very friendly.

Dr. Marika is not the issue. Neither is the Nurse practitioner. The problem lies when trying to call and after 15 minutes on hold, twice after trying to call back, nobody picks up. It was at 2:25pm during the week and during regular office hours. Over time the quality of customer service has declined. I have been a patient of Dr. Marika for years, and if it were not for her personally, I would have moved on. I called to make an appointment today because I have flu like symptoms. This is my primary Dr. And you cannot get in to see anyone. What good is a primary Dr. if you cannot see them. Virtual is not going to let them give you an exam, ect. They cannot listen to your chest. This office has been declining in service over time and very difficult to get an appointment if you really need to see them..
