Dr was very unprofessional never spoke to me after procedure. Refused to upload records to mychart Never scheduled post opp appointment Never took video or images of procedure as required by Cleveland clinic Stay far far away! Too many other good Drs at cleveland clinic to choose from

Maron is a charming guy, but maybe not the greatest surgeon. I had my first surgery with him 5 years ago and I am still dealing with the complications: the first laparoscopic surgery failed ( I developed a fever and abdominal pain when I called his office and his intern was not sure if I should come in - I hung up the phone and drove myself to the ER): I had to be opened up and was left with a huge, ugly scar; I got a terrible infection that required massive antibiotics and an extensive hospital stay; I then developed a hernia, which required another major surgery and a nastier scar; now I have painful adhesions. Strange that my records on the Cleveland Clinic site with regard to my treatment with Maron are erased and I am unable to leave a review on their site either. Proceed with caution.

This doctor performed a perfect surgery on one of my family members.

Very disappointing! After 2 pre-op appointments for a hemorrhoidectomy and the doctor describing how excruciatingly painful the recovery was and that he would make sure I was “comfortable” for at least the first 2weeks post-op. On the day of my surgery I was sent home with a Rx for pain medication for one week with no refill when I called on day 8 of my post-op to get a refill I was told to take over the counter meds for pain ie. Tylenol. I was left in excruciating pain at that point. I called a total of 3 times crying, begging I was in so much pain and again was told to take Tylenol!! It was totally unbelievable and unprofessional! I still can’t believe a doctor who himself described how painful the recovery was would leave a patient in so much pain.

Dr. Maron is amazing!! He literally saved my life. His group of surgeons are incredible too. Truly the best care!

I had to get digestive surgery and was very apprehensive. I chose the the Cleveland Clinic Westin because it has a stellar reputation. Dr David J Maron performed the surgery and I could not be happier with the outcome. I was very impressed with his and his teams skill and empathy. His team included Dr Yasmine Zerhouni, Dr Nicole Lopez, and Dr Luis Okida. Dr Maron was a Godsend!

Visited Dr Maron after struggling with Grade 4 Hemorrhoids, he was patient attentive and answered all questions, made me feel very comfortable, I am 8 days post op and happy with how Im progressing.

I want to personally thank Dr Maron for saving my life. I had just found out I had a colon tumor when I met Dr Maron. I had just been told my life was ending shortly and there was no hope for me. I didn't accept that Dr's diagnosis and went to Dr Maron for hope. Two months later I was colon cancer free by the hands of my Doctor. Don't take NO for an answer with colon cancer. Call this wonderful Dr Maron at Cleveland Clinic. He saved my life.

Could be a great doctor, but I’ll never know. Dr Maron performed a sigmoidoscopy, the purpose of which was to examine air in the rectum to make sure there is no perforation. THAT WASNT DONE Instead, I received a negative biopsy report from his asst via portal and an oh by the way you need a colostomy vis portal. NO DISCUSSION WITH DR MARON I’m looking for a new GI
