Incredible doctor, deserving of 5 stars across the board. I was in excruciating pain due to stomach/intestinal issues, and his prescribed medication completely relieved the pain by the second day. My primary care physician didn't even come close to this level of care. This doctor is truly a blessing. However, I must caution you about the billing department and front desk at Weston Hospital. I endured a frustrating 1.5-hour wait to resolve an issue that was never my fault from the beginning. I received a bill that I adamantly disputed, but they refused to cooperate and eventually sent it to collections for a mere $19.70. Be wary, as the billing practices are unscrupulous. It's unfortunate, given how exceptional the doctor is. Nonetheless, my rating remains 5 stars, as this review focuses on the doctor's excellence, not the institution where he practices.

Upon visiting Dr. Eric Weiss, in an emergency appointment, he had my mom, (who had been suffering for over a month waiting for colon surgery) admitted to the Cleveland Clinic directly from the appointment, and had her scheduled for surgery promptly. Although he explained the possible risks, everything went even better then expected and Dr. Weiss and his team were there to check on her every day until she was discharged. We are so very grateful for his expertise in the way he did the surgery and the after care she received! After the surgery he even called me to see how she was. We have never met a more diligent, caring, and dedicated surgeon and will be forever grateful.

My experience with Dr. Weiss was unprofessional, lacked empathy, and overall a tremendous disappointment. My entire time spent at the Cleveland Clinic (Weston, Florida campus) was completely counterintuitive to the to this patient feeling respected and cared for. Dr. Weiss seemed far more interested in continuing to use his cell phone prior to performing my procedure…so much so that he never acknowledged my arrival in the procedure room. Upon discharge, Dr. Weiss did not verbally speak to me. I had to read my own discharge summary notes. Completely unacceptable! Definitely not the same experiences I’ve had in the past at the main campus (in Cleveland) and definitely NOT in keeping with the Cleveland Clinic’s long history of delivering exceptional patient care while maintaining positive and strong core values. The Cleveland Clinic’s mission statement was clearly not honored by this physician during my visit to this facility.

Dr. Weiss doesn’t seem at all interested in honoring the overall mission statement of the Cleveland Clinic. I’ve never been treated so insignificantly. Dr. Weiss displayed a great lack of empathy and professionalism. He could barely redirect his attention away from his cell phone while I was being prepared for his next procedure. He never personally spoke with me to identify what the procedure did or did not reveal, and I was left alone to read my own discharge summary notes. Unacceptable practices by this physician and the team.

Our adult son required a very extreme surgery. He was very hesitant about it and kept putting it off. ( We also were not happy with the surgeon recommended by another hospital.) Dr. Weiss was our second opinion and his expertise and great people skills put him and us at ease. He took a lot of time explaining everything to us. The surgery last week was a success and his recovery time was sooner than we would have expected! There will be a couple more surgeries in the next year but we are so pleased to have our son in such good hands

Probably the finest Colorectal Surgeon in the United States. Extreme care , Very detailed , and organized. Answers all questions. Obviously cares deeply for his patients. I had surgery for Diverticulitis at the Cleveland Clinic in Weston just over 2 years ago , Dr. Weiss corrected a 20 year old problem , in very short order. I have my life back . My body functions just as it did when I was a teenager. I have never had a doctor make such an enormous impact on my quality of life. His staff is equally professional , and caring. I owe a very serious debt of gratitude to Dr. Weiss , and his staff.
